Studies have shown that breast cancer has become a major disease that threatens women's lives. Caring for women and paying attention to breast health has become a major public health issue in society. In order to detect female breast diseases in a timely manner, experts recommend that women perform breast self-examination once a month. If you find a lump in your breast, you must pay attention and seek medical attention immediately. Below we will introduce some common causes of breast lumps. (1) Breast lumps, accompanied by mild tenderness. The lumps are mostly near the periphery of the breast and are often confined to one side. As the lumps grow larger, they become cystic and may fluctuate near the periphery. They are related to the menstrual cycle and may indicate breast hyperplasia. (2) Painless breast mass, which is oval or elliptical in shape and 2 to 3 cm in diameter, but may be larger in some cases. The surface of the mass is smooth and tough, with clear boundaries from the surrounding tissues. Most of them are single and often located on the upper outside of the breast. Suspicion of benign breast tumor. (3) In women aged 18-25, the lump grows on one or both sides of the breast, has a smooth surface, is hard in texture, has clear boundaries, feels like sliding, is painless, and is unrelated to the menstrual cycle. This is a breast fibroid. (4) Cyclic breast tenderness before menstruation, multiple nodular lumps felt in the breast, round, hard nodules with unclear boundaries that can be moved, and yellow-green, brown or bloody fluid oozing from the nipple, indicating suspected cystic breast hyperplasia. (5) It is often seen in enlarged breasts. It has a smooth surface, soft texture, clear boundaries, and is painless to the touch. It is a breast lipoma. (6) Lumps that are neither soft nor hard, have unclear boundaries, and are not tender during lactation are mostly caused by breast adenoma. After reading the above, I believe everyone already knows what causes breast lumps. Therefore, in order to prevent breast diseases, it is recommended that women establish a good lifestyle, develop healthy eating habits, exercise regularly, and develop the habit of regular breast self-examination and actively participate in breast cancer screening to prevent problems before they occur. |
