But only one in five people get the recommended amounts of calcium and vitamin D in their diet.

Researchers recommend that calcium and vitamin D are best obtained through food. For example, eating four servings of low-fat dairy products a day is a very good choice. In addition, eating cheese or fortified orange juice is also good.
