Picture of cervical erosion of the third degree

Gynecologists often say "nine out of ten women have cervical erosion", which shows how common cervical erosion is in women. From the literal meaning, "erosion" can easily give people illusions. In fact, cervical erosion is substantially different from erosion in other parts of the body. It is named because of a visual effect under the examination of instruments, not that the cervix is really rotten. Next, let’s look at the symptoms of third-degree cervical erosion.

1. Excessive leucorrhea

Leucorrhea is mostly a symptom of cervical erosion, and sometimes it is even the only symptom. Due to the differences in pathogens, as well as the differences in the scope and degree of erosion, the characteristics of secretions are also different. If the inflammation is not obvious, the discharge is mainly transparent mucus; if cervical erosion is accompanied by obvious inflammation, the discharge is yellowish pus and viscous. If the erosion area is small or the lesions invade shallowly, the amount of secretions may be less; if the lesions invade deeply and the area is large, the amount of secretions is large, and sometimes there may be a small amount of blood or blood. Some patients may also have a history of irregular bleeding.

2. Irregular menstruation

There are three levels of severity of cervical erosion: mild erosion, mild-to-moderate erosion, and moderate-to-severe erosion. However, once cervical erosion occurs, it will affect women's menstrual cycle, menstrual volume, etc., and sometimes menstrual pain will occur.

3. Itching and pain in the vulva

Cervical erosion usually occurs in the female vulva due to excessive vaginal discharge, which causes irritation and inflammation, leading to vulvitis, vaginitis, itching and pain in the vagina. If the inflammation spreads to the main tendon, sexual intercourse may cause pain, affecting the couple's sex life.

4. Lumbar and sacral pain

Generally, patients will often feel back pain. When the erosion is severe, it will also affect the uterus and cause chronic connective tissue inflammation. These symptoms appear in the lumbar sacral area and will cause severe pain, a falling pelvis, and swelling and pain. There is sexual pain in couples' sexual life.

5. Frequent urination, urgency, inability to hold urine, and pain when urinating

Frequent urination, urgent urination, inability to hold urine, and painful urination are also the more obvious symptoms of patients with cervical erosion. If cervical erosion is caused by cervicitis, the inflammation will extend to the woman's bladder, causing certain pressure, inflammation, irritation and pain to the bladder, and causing urinary tract infection.
