Causes of bloody vaginal discharge during ovulation

Leucorrhea reflects women's reproductive health, so for women, observing changes in leucorrhea means paying attention to their own reproductive health. For many women, they will encounter the situation of bloody leucorrhea during ovulation, and they will be very concerned about why there is bloody leucorrhea during ovulation. In fact, whether bloody vaginal discharge occurs occasionally during ovulation or occurs for a long time, it indicates damage to reproductive health. Therefore, for the sake of reproductive health, it is necessary for women to understand why there is blood in the vaginal discharge during ovulation.

A normal woman's vagina has a small amount of milky white or colorless, transparent, odorless secretion oozing out, which is called leucorrhea. It is a mixture of vaginal mucosal exudates, cervical glands and endometrial secretions. Leucorrhea contains lactobacilli, lysozyme and antibodies, so it has the effect of inhibiting bacterial growth. During sexual intercourse, the amount of leucorrhea will increase, which will lubricate the vagina and facilitate sexual intercourse.

Generally, the amount of leucorrhea increases during the middle of the menstrual period and becomes thin and transparent; after ovulation, the leucorrhea becomes thick, turbid and less in quantity. There is an increase in leucorrhea before menstruation and during pregnancy. Non-primate mammals appear during estrus. The amount of vaginal discharge is related to the amount of estrogen secretion. Generally speaking, the more estrogen is secreted, the greater the amount of vaginal discharge, and it changes cyclically.

Women may have more vaginal discharge during ovulation, before and after menstruation, and during pregnancy, but the nature of the discharge does not change significantly, which is normal. If there is too much vaginal discharge or its characteristics are abnormal, the underwear is often soaked and even a menstrual belt is needed. This situation is called leucorrhea. Abnormal vaginal discharge is often caused by different diseases

There are two types of bloody vaginal discharge: physiological and disease-related.

Generally speaking, some women will experience ovulation bleeding during their ovulation period, also known as intermenstrual bleeding, which refers to a small amount of bleeding between two normal menstrual periods, which may be accompanied by varying degrees of lower abdominal pain. If the symptoms are mild, no treatment is required. If the bleeding is heavy or affects fertility, medication can be used for treatment. However, if there is bloody leucorrhea, the following diseases should also be considered: (1) cervical polyps. (2) acute vaginitis. (3) severe cervical erosion. (4) senile vaginitis. (5) cervical cancer. (6) uterine submucosal fibroids. (7) endometrial cancer. In addition, sometimes due to the placement of an intrauterine contraceptive ring, there are also some blood streaks in the leucorrhea.

Specific examination and treatment are recommended.

It should be noted here that gynecological diseases are common diseases among women at present, and the incidence rate is very high. Many women become infertile after marriage because they do not pay attention to gynecological diseases. Therefore, when symptoms such as bloody vaginal discharge during ovulation appear, you need to go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time. Early treatment will make the treatment simpler and have the least impact on fertility.
