Causes of dysmenorrhea in girls

Dysmenorrhea is a symptom that many girls experience during menstruation, but it does not occur every time during menstruation. Many times, some people only experience dysmenorrhea during a certain menstrual period. So, what are the specific causes of dysmenorrhea in girls? Although this issue is very important for women's physical health, most women do not know much about it.

It turns out that there are many reasons for women's dysmenorrhea, but most women don't know much about it. For most women, when they suffer from dysmenorrhea, they usually take some treatments to relieve the dysmenorrhea, but in many cases the effect of the relief is not very good. Therefore, after understanding the specific cause, symptomatic treatment will generally have a very good effect.

Dysmenorrhea is cyclical lower abdominal pain that occurs during and before and after menstruation. It often occurs before and during menstruation, and occasionally occurs within a few days after menstruation. The lower abdominal pain is cramping and bloating, and may radiate to the lumbar region, inner thighs, and around the anus. It may be accompanied by pale complexion, nausea, vomiting, chills in the whole body or lower abdomen, frequent bowel movements, and collapse may occur when the pain is severe. The degree of dysmenorrhea depends on subjective feelings and there is no objective standard, so the incidence rate varies.

Dysmenorrhea is divided into two types: primary and secondary. Secondary dysmenorrhea occurs 2 years after menarche. The age and course of dysmenorrhea vary for different diseases, and the early and late onset of dysmenorrhea also varies.

There are many factors that cause dysmenorrhea, the most common ones are as follows:

1. Cervical stenosis mainly causes obstruction of menstrual outflow, causing dysmenorrhea.

2. Uterine hypoplasia. Poor uterine development is prone to abnormal blood supply, causing uterine ischemia and hypoxia, leading to dysmenorrhea.

3. Abnormal position of the uterus. If a woman's uterus is extremely retroflexed or anteflexed, it may affect the smooth flow of menstrual blood and cause dysmenorrhea.

4. Psychological and neurological factors: some women are overly sensitive to pain.

5. Genetic factors.

6. Endocrine factors: abdominal pain during menstruation is related to increased progesterone in the luteal phase.

7. The content of prostaglandins (PG) in the endometrium and menstrual blood increases, and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) acts on uterine muscle fibers to cause them to contract and cause dysmenorrhea. The prostaglandin content in the endometrial tissue of patients with dysmenorrhea is significantly higher than that of women with normal endometrium.

8. Excessive contraction of the uterus. Although the uterine contraction pressure of patients with dysmenorrhea is basically the same as that of normal women (the normal pressure is about 4.9Kpa), the uterine contraction lasts longer and is often difficult to relax completely, so dysmenorrhea occurs due to excessive contraction of the uterus.

After the detailed introduction in the above article, I believe that everyone now has a deeper understanding of the real causes of female dysmenorrhea. The most common causes are: cervical stenosis, uterine hypoplasia, abnormal uterine position, genetic factors, endocrine factors, mental factors, etc. It can be seen that there are really many causes of dysmenorrhea in women. So when our women have dysmenorrhea, it might as well understand the cause first and then carry out more effective treatment.
