How to take medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets 2mg

Medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets are estrogen, and their main function is to regulate the body's endocrine system. If the estrogen level is low, medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets are generally used. Their function is to imitate the uterus and ovaries to secrete estrogen. Under normal circumstances, the secretion of estrogen by the uterus and ovaries will be within a certain range and normal, and the menstrual period will be normal. If the secreted female hormone is low and not within this range, it can be supplemented by exogenous drugs. So, what is the method of taking 2mg medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets?

If you use medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets to induce menstruation, the dosage is generally selected according to the time of taking the medicine. If you start using it after ovulation, you can choose the dosage and take it continuously for at least ten days. If the medication is taken for a short time, a larger dosage is required, but it is not recommended to take ten tablets at a time.

Medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets are taken orally, 100 mg at a time (50 tablets, 2 mg per tablet), 3 times a day, or 500 mg (250 tablets) orally, 1 to 2 times a day, as a maintenance dose after intramuscular injection.

Medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets are exogenous estrogen, mainly used in cases of estrogen deficiency in the body. In general, the most common clinical condition is menstrual disorders. Patients with luteal insufficiency usually have a menstrual period of up to 20 days, with black and pink discharge before menstruation, which lasts for about a week. At this time, you can start taking medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets on the 12th day of the menstrual cycle, 10 mg per day, and generally take it for 10 days. It is very effective in treating insufficient luteal function caused by low estrogen. Large doses can treat breast cancer, endometrial cancer, prostate cancer, and kidney cancer.

For example, the recommended daily dose for the treatment of breast cancer is 500-1500 mg, or even up to 2 g per day. The maximum dose can be divided into 2-3 doses per day. This drug should be prohibited or used with caution in patients with liver and kidney dysfunction, cerebral infarction, urethral bleeding, myocardial infarction and thrombophlebitis. Pregnant and breastfeeding women are prohibited from using this medicine.
