Weight loss foods for menopausal women

Women are more likely to gain weight after menopause, and some foods can not only increase the effect of exercise, but also help burn more fat quickly. Adding them to your daily diet can help women maintain a more symmetrical figure after menopause. We call them body-shaping foods. Now I will introduce to you some body-shaping foods that can help menopausal women maintain a well-proportioned figure.

1. Walnut

Instead of eating French fries, enjoy a bag of nuts. Walnuts are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which can make people feel full for longer. Australian researchers spent a year analyzing the conditions of diabetic patients who ate a low-fat diet and found that those who ate 8-10 walnuts a day reduced their weight and body fat more. At the same time, these people had lower insulin levels, which helps control fat storage.

2. Flaxseed

Flaxseeds are high in fiber and beneficial fats, which help stabilize blood sugar. Research shows that flax can help reduce symptoms of hormonal instability because it is rich in phytoestrogens. Flax seeds are easier to digest. Sprinkle them on cereal, soups or salads for a nutritious and healthy treat.

3. Cereal

Women who ate a breakfast rich in fiber and carbohydrates burned twice as much fat during exercise as those who ate more refined foods (foods low in fiber), a British study showed. Lisa Dorfman, an associate professor at the University of Miami, said refined carbohydrates suppress insulin levels and limit the body's ability to convert fat into nutrients. Therefore, eating more crude fiber cereals can help you maintain your figure.

4. Deep-sea fish

Deep-sea fish provides large amounts of vitamin D and calcium, a nutritional combination that people need as they age. Researchers from Kaiser Permanente Medical Group in the United States conducted a seven-year follow-up survey of more than 36,000 women aged 50 to 79. The results showed that women who took calcium and vitamin D supplements after menopause gained less weight than those who took placebos.

Other studies have shown that without adequate vitamin D, a person's ability to control appetite is impaired. Therefore, eating more fatty fish such as salmon, tuna, sardines, etc. is a good choice.
