Treatment of ovarian cysts

Treatment of ovarian cysts

Ovarian health is a sign of a normal woman. With the pressure of work and the influence of the environment, ovarian diseases always bother female friends. When the doctor tells you that you have ovarian cysts, it is like the sky has fallen, and you want to quickly remove it through surgery. Of course, surgery can treat ovarian cysts, but you must first understand whether your ovarian cysts are malignant or benign.

There are many ways to treat ovarian cysts, but the most effective method is surgery to cure it. Ovarian cysts are divided into malignant and benign. Benign cysts are not too harmful to the body, but they must be removed. Malignant cysts must be paid attention to. Let's take a look at the specific surgical treatments.

Treatment of ovarian cysts

1. Surgical treatment of benign ovarian cysts

(1) Ovarian cystectomy: This procedure is often used in young patients, especially premenopausal patients, while preserving normal ovarian tissue as much as possible.

(2) Salpingo-oophorectomy: Older patients (over 45 years old) or postmenopausal patients can undergo unilateral or bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy. It is worth noting that in the surgical treatment of larger ovarian cysts, the size of the incision should not be taken into account, and complete resection is preferred to avoid breaking the patient's pulse and allowing the contents to spill into the abdominal cavity or incision.

2. Surgical treatment of malignant ovarian cysts

(1) Most patients are in the advanced stage when they seek medical treatment, so every effort should be made to remove the primary cyst and any visible pelvic and abdominal metastases. Because malignant ovarian cysts are often adhered or infiltrated with the uterus and adnexa, and are closely attached to the pelvic peritoneum, the uterus and tumor are often removed in one piece along with the pelvic peritoneum in a rolling carpet style, such as omentectomy, partial intestinal resection, partial bladder and ureter resection.

(2) Consider placing a catheter in the peritoneal cavity to facilitate the postoperative intraperitoneal injection of chemotherapy drugs.

The above are the different treatment methods for malignant and benign ovarian cysts. I hope it can be helpful to you. In addition, female friends in life must pay attention to the cleanliness of the vulva area and eat more light food, so as not to let gynecological diseases take advantage of the situation and damage their health. Stay away from all diseases completely and be a beautiful and confident woman.
