Lan Tian, ​​a doctor at the outpatient and emergency department of Hunan Provincial Institute of Occupational Disease Prevention and Treatment (affiliated to the University of South China Institute of Occupational Disease Prevention and Treatment), said: " Acute pancreatitis is an inflammatory reaction caused by the activation of pancreatic enzymes in the pancreas, which leads to self-digestion, edema, bleeding and even necrosis of pancreatic tissue."

Acute pancreatitis is usually related to improper diet, excessive drinking and other factors. During the special festival of the Spring Festival, people tend to indulge in food, so the incidence of acute pancreatitis will increase accordingly.

Lan Tian, ​​attending physician of the outpatient and emergency department of Hunan Provincial Occupational Disease Prevention and Treatment Institute (Occupational Disease Prevention and Treatment Institute affiliated to University of South China), reminds us to do the following four things to have a healthy and beautiful "stomach".

1. Overeating is not a good idea

People often cannot control themselves in front of delicious food. In the short term, overeating may cause diseases such as pancreatitis and gastroenteritis ; in the long term, overeating is more likely to lead to diseases such as diabetes, fatty liver, obesity, etc., seriously affecting physical health.

2. A combination of meat and vegetables is healthier

Meat, vegetables and fruits should be eaten together. Meat should be mainly lean meat, such as fish, chicken and white meat , which are lower in calories than beef, pork and other foods. Vegetables should be fresh and rich in dietary fiber and vitamins, such as lettuce, cabbage sprouts, potatoes, broccoli , etc.

3. Drink less to stay healthy

Excessive drinking not only leads to alcohol poisoning, but also increases the risk of pancreatitis and gastric ulcers . In the long run, it may also cause a series of complications and chronic diseases such as alcoholic cirrhosis, hypertension, diabetes , etc.

4. Proper exercise is essential

During the Chinese New Year, we tend to eat too much food, resulting in overnutrition. Only by increasing the amount of exercise can we consume excess calories and avoid converting them into fat and causing obesity. Exercise can also promote gastrointestinal motility, help digestion and defecation.
