Symptoms of cervical cancer in the latent stage

Cancer also has a latent period and symptoms will appear as well, but the symptoms at this time are usually ignored by patients. Cervical cancer is not excluded. Many female patients think it is a common gynecological disease and do not realize that they have cervical cancer. What are the main symptoms of cervical cancer in its latent stage?

The occurrence and development of cervical cancer is a gradual process, and the duration can be estimated from many years to decades. Therefore, it is necessary to enhance the awareness of prevention and conduct regular inspections. If precancerous lesions and early cancers are found, they should be diagnosed and treated in time. This will effectively prevent the occurrence of cervical cancer and reduce its mortality rate, so it must be taken seriously.

Once a woman is diagnosed with cervical cancer, the symptoms that may occur during the latent period are introduced in detail below:

1. Vaginal discharge: Because adenocarcinoma grows and develops in the uterine cavity, the chance of infection is less than that of cervical cancer. Therefore, in the early stage, there may be only a small amount of bloody leucorrhea, but later, if infection and necrosis occur, a large amount of foul-smelling thick blood-like fluid will be discharged. Sometimes the fluid may be mixed with small fragments of cancerous tissue. If pus accumulates in the cervical cavity, it will cause fever, abdominal pain, and excessive white blood cell count.

2. Abnormal uterine bleeding: Irregular vaginal bleeding before and after menopause is a clinical symptom of cervical cancer in women, often with a small amount of bleeding to a moderate amount, rarely a lot of bleeding. Not only are younger or menopausal patients prone to mistakenly believe that they have menstrual irregularities and fail to seek medical attention promptly, but even doctors are often careless and negligent.

Vaginal discharge and abnormal uterine bleeding are typical symptoms of cervical cancer, but many gynecological diseases can also present with such symptoms. This has led to many female friends being careless and not seeking timely treatment. As a result, by the time of diagnosis, it is already in the late stage of cervical cancer. I hope everyone can learn more about this.
