Thigh pain after ovulation

Thigh pain after ovulation

When women are pregnant, they often feel pain here and there on their body, especially after five months, the body will feel pain and edema. Some women feel pain in the groin after five months of pregnancy, which makes some pregnant women feel very painful. So what is the reason for the pain in the groin during the fifth month of pregnancy?

1. Thigh pain occurs after five months of pregnancy. This condition is closely related to the increase in the gap between the pubic symphysis and the sciatic tuberosity. Although there is a gap between the ischial tuberosities of women, it is usually not large, no more than five mm. However, after five months of pregnancy, with the growth and development of the fetus and uterus, the gap in this area will become two or three mm larger than usual, causing thigh pain. During pregnancy, if you experience thigh pain, it may be because your abdomen is too large, causing pressure on your legs. In particular, the nerves at the base of the legs are compressed, causing leg soreness and swelling, which is normal. Pregnant women can pay attention to massage or apply hot compresses on a regular basis, which can significantly improve the pain in the thigh root.

2. When pregnancy reaches the middle and late stages, because the uterus will grow larger, there will be a certain degree of compression on the nerves and blood vessels of the lower limbs, which may also cause pain in the thigh root.

3. Thigh pain is very common during pregnancy. Generally, people who are overweight or have loose abdominal muscles will experience this condition. If pregnant women can relax appropriately on a daily basis to increase the elasticity of the muscles, this symptom may be alleviated.

Thigh pain during pregnancy is generally not very severe, and this condition will gradually subside after delivery. If the pain persists after delivery, corrective treatment or the use of a belly support belt to help reposition the ischial tuberosity is necessary.
