Temperature drops suddenly, beware of stroke! 8 risk factors, check yourself

Stroke, also known as heart attack, is an acute cerebrovascular disease.

Winter is the peak season for stroke. We all know that "heat expands and cold contracts". When the weather is cold, the blood vessels of the human body will also contract. If the cerebral blood vessels themselves have atherosclerotic stenosis, this contraction will lead to worse blood supply to the brain tissue.

In addition, just as the flow of a river slows down when the weather gets cold, the blood flow in the human body also slows down, which can cause the blood to stagnate and become viscous.

Under the "dual effects" of vasoconstriction and spasm and blood viscosity, the risk of ischemic stroke will also increase.

Time is brain. Are you affected by the following risk factors for stroke?

Analysis

Those with a stroke risk assessment of ≥3 points, or with a history of stroke or transient ischemic attack, are assessed as high-risk; those with a stroke risk assessment of <3 points but suffering from one of the chronic diseases (hypertension, diabetes, atrial fibrillation or valvular heart disease) are assessed as medium-risk; those with a stroke risk assessment of <3 points and no chronic diseases are assessed as low-risk.

Stroke is characterized by high incidence, high recurrence rate, high disability rate and high mortality rate, but we are not "helpless". Instead, we can prevent stroke by controlling risk factors, treating underlying diseases, and improving lifestyle.
