Recently, according to media reports, a third-party research organization released the ranking of China's mobile phone market in January 2025. Chinese manufacturers such as Huawei and Xiaomi performed well, while Apple experienced a rare negative growth.

Data shows that in January 2025, Chinese manufacturers took the top three spots in activation volume in mainland China's mobile phone market.

Among them, Huawei activated 6.3481 million units, ranking first with a market share of 19.3%; Xiaomi ranked second with 5.7053 million units activated and a market share of 17.34%; vivo activated 5.4817 million units, ranking third with a market share of 16.66%; OPPO ranked fourth with 4.9192 million units activated and a share of 14.95%; Apple ranked fifth with 4.5112 million units activated and a share of 13.71%.

Among the top five manufacturers, Xiaomi achieved the fastest growth of 42.49% year-on-year and was significantly ahead of other manufacturers, while Apple experienced negative year-on-year growth.

Huawei was able to take the first place mainly because of the Mate 70 series. Previously, a research institution predicted that the sales of the Mate 70 series would exceed 10 million units during its life cycle.

As Huawei made a strong comeback amid adversity, Apple hit a wall in the country and the Android system also lost market share.

BCI data shows that from January to December 2024, Huawei ranked first in the Chinese mobile phone market with a sales share of 18.3%.
