Coolpad Group Financial Report: From January to June 2022, Coolpad Group's revenue was HK$140.5 million, a year-on-year decrease of 56.1%

In 2021, Coolpad officially implemented a new strategy of "returning to the Chinese market" and released two smartphones, COOL 20 and COOL 20 Pro, creating the first "90-day replacement and 2-year warranty" quality assurance standard. After its return, Coolpad also attracted a large number of well-known industry professionals and executives to join, and obtained the support of top international strategic capital.

How are Coolpad’s mobile phone sales after returning to the Chinese market?

On August 24, Coolpad Group released its financial report showing that in the first half of 2022, Coolpad Group's smartphone shipments in the Chinese mainland market reached 195,600 units, and the number of monthly active Internet users in mainland China reached 219,000.

In terms of revenue, Coolpad's revenue in the first half of the year was HK$140.5 million (approximately RMB 123 million), a year-on-year decrease of 56.1%; the net loss attributable to owners was HK$303 million (approximately RMB 264 million), a year-on-year increase of 27.4%.

In terms of R&D, Coolpad Group ranked seventh in the 2021 Shenzhen Enterprise Innovation Strength Top 100 List released by the Shenzhen Intellectual Property Protection Center of China. It continues to contribute new features to the well-known open source file system EROFS (which has been merged into the Linux mainline and supported by Android 13), and has now become an auditor for this project.

In addition, in April 2022, Coolpad Group and Tencent Cloud reached a strategic cooperation agreement, and the two parties established a joint laboratory to jointly explore and develop the underlying technology of the next-generation operating system.
