360: Summer Research Report on Mobile Internet for Post-90s Generation
360 Mobile Assistant released the "Post-90s Mobile Internet Research Report" through an online survey of 20,000 netizens. The report shows that 60% of post-90s suffer from serious "mobile phone addiction", spending more than 3 hours a day on the Internet, and nearly half of post-90s users suffer from "mobile phone panic", checking their phones every less than 15 minutes. More than half of post-90s consider themselves to be Diaosi, and have a strong sense of self-deprecation! 54.5% of the respondents said they were Diaosi, 35.8% thought they were not, and only 9.7% had no concept of the word Diaosi. Diaosi culture has a profound impact on post-90s young people. 44% of post-90s plan to change their mobile phones within six months. Mobile phones are one of the standard features of post-90s, and 44% of the respondents are not satisfied with their current mobile phones and hope to change to new ones within six months. Post-90s men like Apple the most; post-90s women like Samsung the most. 33.8% of the post-90s men interviewed like Apple, followed by Samsung, accounting for 24.6%. 45.9% of the post-90s female respondents like Samsung, followed by Apple, accounting for 29.6%. In terms of mobile phone brand loyalty, only 38.2% of the post-90s who use Xiaomi like the Xiaomi brand, and nearly half prefer Apple and Samsung. 67.2% of the post-90s who use Samsung like Samsung, and 22% like Apple. These people are mainly users of Samsung's mid-to-low-end phones, and cannot buy Apple phones due to economic reasons. 81.6% of the post-90s who use Apple like Apple, and Apple has the highest brand stickiness and product satisfaction. Evening and before going to bed are the peak times for post-90s users to surf the Internet on their mobile phones. The survey found that the evening (18:00-22:00) is the peak time for post-90s users to surf the Internet, and 58.5% of users choose to use their mobile phones to surf the Internet during this time period. The second is before going to bed, accounting for 51.9%. Nearly half of the post-90s users check their mobile phones less than 15 minutes and suffer from severe "mobile phone panic disorder." When asked how long they check their phones in their spare time, 18.9% of users chose 0-5 minutes, and 29.8% chose 6-15 minutes, which means that nearly half of the post-90s users check their phones every 15 minutes, which is a manifestation of severe "mobile phone panic disorder". Sixty percent of post-90s use their phones to surf the Internet for more than three hours a day, suffering from severe "mobile phone addiction". The survey on how long they use their phones to surf the Internet every day is not optimistic. As many as 31.6% of post-90s users chose more than five hours, which is seriously harmful to their eyes. 27.2% of users chose 3-5 hours, which means that nearly 60% of post-90s use their phones to surf the Internet for more than three hours a day. The vast majority of post-90s do not like to install a lot of mobile phone software, and 50 software can basically meet their needs. Compared with the endless mobile phone applications, the preferences of post-90s are not so wide. According to the survey, 78.5% of post-90s have only installed less than 50 mobile phone applications on their phones. Only 0.6% of users chose to install more than 200 mobile phone applications. 70% of post-90s have installed 1-5 mobile games, and the largest number of users have installed 3 mobile games. Post-90s have almost grown up with games, first online games, and then mobile games that have become popular in recent years. While everyone believes that post-90s must be obsessed with various games and love to play games, 360 Mobile Assistant data shows that 69.5% of post-90s have only 1-5 mobile games on their phones, and 19.1% of them have 3 mobile games. Post-90s users rarely download a mobile software because of advertisements, and they pay the most attention to the ranking of download volume. Post-90s users like to keep up with the trend, so what games the public will choose has a great influence on the post-90s in their choice of mobile games. According to statistics, 32.8% of post-90s will actively check the software download ranking to choose a game, followed by friends' recommendations accounting for 21.7%, and then user comments accounting for 20.5%. It can be seen that advertisements do not actually have a great impact on post-90s, and the influence of others is the most critical factor. More than half of post-90s users do not like frequent software updates. For those born in the 1990s, it is best not to update the software after it is downloaded, because updating is too troublesome! However, in fact, too many people born in the 1990s have obsessive-compulsive disorder. 47.1% of users will choose to update immediately when they see something that can be updated. 60% of users born in the 1990s use 3G mobile networks, and have a high demand for mobile network speed. People born in the 1990s like to be at the forefront of the times, dare to try and innovate, and 61.7% of users use 3G on their mobile networks. It will take some time for 4G to be promoted. Currently, only 1.3% of people born in the 1990s use 4G, but it can be expected that when the 4G network is fully opened, people born in the 1990s will also be the first to try it. More than 70% of people born in the 1990s use more than 100M of mobile data per month, and an average of 3M per day. The effect of smartphones consuming data traffic is obvious to all, and the largest group of smartphone users, people born in the 1990s, naturally have high requirements for data traffic. 33.1% of people born in the 1990s use 100-300MB of data traffic per month on average, and 19.7% use more than 500MB of data traffic per month. In the absence of WiFi, how to save data usage is indeed a big problem. This is the main reason why 360 Mobile Assistant's "Free Data Zone" plan was immediately welcomed by a large number of post-90s users after its launch. In the eyes of many people, post-90s is a derogatory term, equivalent to selfishness, conceit, homebody, and pampered. But in fact, post-90s is just a silhouette of an era. The choices made by post-90s that are different from the past are also closely related to the social atmosphere of the era itself. 360 Mobile Assistant believes that post-90s are responsible and confident, and the future world will eventually be handed over to the young people of this generation.
