A recent comScore survey commissioned by Millennial Media found that 47% of smartphone users have purchased digital content such as movies, TV shows, music or e-books. 37% of users have purchased clothing or accessories via their mobile phones, and 35% have used their mobile phones to buy tickets to movies, concerts, theaters or sporting events. 63% of respondents said that convenience is the main reason they use mobile phones for shopping. The survey also found that the proportion of people using mobile devices to access entertainment content increased by 82% from December 2010 to December 2011. |
