SecondMarket: Survey shows that social media companies are most favored by investors

SecondMarket, a "private company" equity trading center, has a cap of $3.29 million and an average fund of about $108 million. The company has been running for about 7 years and has about 200 employees. SecondMarket released its latest data today, showing that 48.3% of the company's transactions are from the gaming industry, and 21.8% are involved in network and social media businesses.

SecondMarket said that in the second quarter, investors invested $206.49 million in Internet and social media companies, easily beating the second-ranked $68 million, while software companies attracted about $50 million. In addition, in the second quarter, video sharing communities Viddy and SocialCam also attracted investors' attention.
