What is a Nabothian cyst?

Nabothian cyst

In most cases, it is a normal change in the cervix. The glandular ducts that secrete secretions on the cervix are blocked, causing the glands to be unable to discharge smoothly, forming one or several bluish-white hard blisters, which are called cysts.

In most cases, cysts do not cause adverse consequences and do not require special treatment.

However, when there are multiple cysts on the cervix, care should be taken to differentiate them from cervical adenocarcinoma.

Therefore, when there is only a cyst, "treatment" can be just a casual word, but "examination", that is, cervical cancer screening, must be done seriously.
