Does a child who is hyperactive and active have ADHD?

Being lively, active, naughty and playful is the nature of children in childhood, but there are always some children who are obviously more hyperactive and naughty than other children, and parents even suspect that they have ADHD.

So, does a hyperactive child really have ADHD? What are the symptoms of ADHD? ADHD, short for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), is the most common neurological and mental developmental disorder in children.

⑤ Often cannot wait patiently in line;

⑦ Often unable to quietly devote themselves to games or leisure activities;

⑧Leaving your seat without permission when you are required to sit still.

The cause of ADHD is still unclear. It is currently believed to be a syndrome caused by the combined effects of multiple biological, psychological and social factors, either alone or in combination.

So, what should you do if you have ADHD? In fact, ADHD is a developmental disorder. Parents’ persuasion or strict discipline alone will not only fail to improve the symptoms, but may also cause children to rebel. Therefore, if you suspect your child has ADHD, you should first go to a regular hospital for an assessment and examination. Once you are diagnosed with ADHD, you should insist on regular treatment and follow up for a long time. Treatment options for ADHD include:

1. Drug treatment: 1. Central nervous system stimulants 2. Non-central nervous system stimulants 3. Alpha receptor agonists 4. Tricyclic antidepressants.

2. Rehabilitation therapy: 1. Behavior correction therapy 2. Cognitive behavioral training 3. Sensory integration therapy; 4. Movement therapy 5. EEG biofeedback therapy 6. Transcranial magnetic stimulation 7. Sandplay therapy 8. Training for parents and teachers, etc.

3. Comprehensive treatment: Comprehensive treatment should be given to children with ADHD in accordance with the principle of "treating symptoms in an emergency, treating root causes in a non-urgent manner, and treating both symptoms and root causes."

Finally, parents should be reminded that they should cooperate with doctors during the treatment process and persist in the treatment. They should not stop and start treatment. Only in this way can they truly get rid of the troubles of ADHD, a chronic disease! Only in this way can children recover soon and embark on the path of healthy growth.
