Will menstruation come on time if there is no ovulation?

I believe that for most female friends, pregnancy is an anxious thing, so they usually need to know more about women's physiological hygiene. Generally, women will not ovulate when they are pregnant. So do you know if they will still have their period without ovulation? Let’s follow the editor to learn more about it.

Can I still have my period without ovulation?

Women who do not ovulate can also have their periods, which is medically known as "anovulatory menstruation." This is different from normal menstruation and belongs to the category of "multifunctional abnormal uterine bleeding". The characteristics of this type of menstruation are irregular time and uncertain amount of blood, sometimes a lot, sometimes very little. Regular bleeding like menstruation or regular cessation of bleeding is very rare.

Causes of anovulatory menstruation

1. Bleeding related to pregnancy: Dysfunctional uterine bleeding often occurs after a period of amenorrhea, and various bleeding related to pregnancy, such as miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, hydatidiform mole, etc., also have a history of amenorrhea, but at the same time have pregnancy symptoms and the pregnancy test is positive. B-ultrasound examination is helpful for identification. If it is difficult to distinguish, diagnostic curettage can be used for diagnosis.

2. Choriocarcinoma: It is often secondary to miscarriage or delivery, with persistent non-menstrual bleeding in the vagina, a positive pregnancy test or persistently positive blood H (X). B-ultrasound, hysteroscopy, pelvic artery angiography, etc. are all helpful for identification.

3. Uterine intrauterine polyps and submucosal uterine fibroids: The main manifestations are increased menstrual volume and prolonged menstrual duration, but normal cycle time, biphasic body temperature during ovulation, and can be diagnosed by iodized oil contrast examination of both uterine fallopian tubes and hysteroscopy.

I believe that after reading this article, all female friends can clearly understand whether menstruation will occur in the case of anovulation. Every female friend should have a basic understanding of this little knowledge. In fact, anovulatory menstruation is a special case, which we should deal with properly. If it is serious, we should go to the hospital for treatment.
