Should the “little penis” be cut off?

Parents, please take a closer look. If your baby has any of the following conditions, you must circumcise him:

1. Phimosis and stenosis of the foreskin: completely unable to be turned up, requiring surgery;

2. Non-physiological phimosis in children: The foreskin is adhered to the glans penis, causing urination difficulties, and the adhesion cannot be removed by manual manipulation;

3. Frequent inflammation of the foreskin: The "chicken" becomes red, swollen and inflamed, leading to inflammatory thickening of the foreskin, loss of skin elasticity, and even scarring, causing secondary stenosis of the foreskin and inability to turn up;

4. Repeated balanitis: Smegma is deposited for a long time. In severe cases, inflammation may cause adhesion between the foreskin and the glans penis, and repeated infection may induce urethritis. If the inflammation recurs, surgery is required.

Kind tips

If you have the following conditions, you must not have a circumcision at will!

① The foreskin is too long, but the glans penis can be turned up and no inflammation of the foreskin or glans penis occurs;

② The penis is short in appearance: there may be a hidden penis;

③ It is difficult to lift the penis, and even when fully erect it hangs down: there may be a problem with hypospadias.

It is recommended that parents take their children to the pediatric urology department for a systematic examination after observation, and have a professional doctor determine whether surgery is needed.
