The ciliary muscle is like a worker on a production line. When performing mydriasis refraction, the doctor will first use a ciliary muscle paralytic (such as 1% atropine eye ointment or gel, 1% cyclopentolate hydrochloride eye drops and compound tropicamide eye drops) to paralyze the ciliary muscle before the true myopia degree can be obtained.
