Have a happy New Year, but beware of "too much joy can lead to sorrow"

This is the 3011th article of Da Yi Xiao Hu

The Lunar New Year is the most important festival for the Chinese nation. Relatives reunite after a long separation, friends gather together, close friends drink and chat happily, and children cheer. But every Chinese New Year, in addition to tourist attractions, places of interest, hotels and shopping malls, the busiest place should be the emergency room. During the Chinese New Year, when families gather together, it becomes the peak period for the onset of some diseases. In fact, many diseases can be avoided. Dr. Han, who has been fighting on the front line of the emergency department for many years, sincerely advertises: It is important to have a happy Chinese New Year, but it is more important to be safe and healthy.

What diseases are most likely to occur during the Chinese New Year? How can we spend the New Year in good health? Dr. Han shares with you briefly.

1. Acute diseases caused by eating

1. Acute pancreatitis

Overeating, high-fat diet, and drinking large amounts of alcohol will cause the various digestive juices secreted by the pancreas to be unable to enter the intestines in time to digest food. Instead, they will "flushed the Dragon King's Temple" and digest themselves, leading to severe abdominal pain, fever, abdominal infection, and even shock.

2. Acute gastroenteritis, acute cholecystitis, gastrointestinal bleeding, etc.

Too many gatherings, meat and wine for one meal and meat and wine for the next, late night snacks at food stalls, beer and seafood, too much burden on the gastrointestinal tract, leading to abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, bloating, indigestion, and acute gastroenteritis caused by unclean food, acute cholecystitis caused by irregular eating, and even peptic ulcers, acute gastric mucosal bleeding, etc. Although delicious food is good, you must pay attention to moderation.

2. Emergency caused by emotional excitement

Cardiovascular and cerebrovascular accidents

During the Spring Festival, family and friends get together, and their children and grandchildren are everywhere. Many elderly people are easily agitated and excited. When there are too many people, verbal disputes are likely to occur. Excessive joy, sadness, and anger can easily induce cardiovascular and cerebrovascular accidents, such as cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage, myocardial infarction, etc., especially the elderly who already have hypertension, diabetes, arteriosclerosis, vascular plaques, etc., are more likely to develop the above-mentioned emergencies, which seriously endanger their health and lives.

3. Acute diseases caused by irregular life

1. Hypertension

Irregular work and rest schedules, missed antihypertensive medications, insufficient rest overwork, a diet high in oil and salt, and large mood swings can all easily cause your blood pressure to fluctuate like a roller coaster.

2. Diabetes and its acute complications

Fluctuating food intake, varying amounts of exercise, untimely blood sugar monitoring, and irregular use of hypoglycemic drugs and insulin can all lead to high blood sugar levels and even induce diabetic ketoacidosis and hypoglycemia.

4. Seasonal Diseases

Respiratory tract infection, asthma, allergies, etc.: During the Spring Festival, the temperature fluctuates greatly. Elderly people with chronic diseases and poor resistance are more susceptible to infectious diseases, especially respiratory infections. Therefore, it is important to ventilate the room, keep warm, and add or remove clothes in time. In addition, during the Spring Festival, friends and relatives should avoid smoking indoors to reduce the irritation of the respiratory tract caused by smoke and reduce the occurrence of respiratory diseases such as asthma and allergies.

After understanding how the above-mentioned emergencies came about, I believe you will understand how to avoid and prevent them.

In addition to having a happy Chinese New Year, Dr. Han sincerely reminds us and wishes you:

Keep a regular schedule and control your emotions;

Chronic diseases should be managed well, and medication should be taken on time;

Eat a light and moderate diet, and never overeat;

Have a happy and peaceful New Year, and be healthier in the Year of the Ox.
