Is it the door or the lock that causes the anti-theft door to switch unsmoothly? What is the reason for the anti-theft door to switch unsmoothly?

We all know that anti-theft doors are a common type of door. They have many styles and are relatively safe. They are very popular among people. Many people install anti-theft doors in their homes. After installing anti-theft doors, some people find that the anti-theft doors do not open and close smoothly. So what is the reason for the anti-theft doors not opening and closing smoothly? Let's take a closer look!

Causes and solutions for the unsmooth opening and closing of anti-theft doors

1. Lock core problem: After the lock core has been used for a long time, it will generally become difficult to insert and rotate smoothly. Some low-quality lock core impellers will have a sense of resistance and jamming when rotating.

Solution: ① Spray the key and lock core hole with lead powder or rust remover, and then use the key to rotate the lock core. Generally, the problem can be solved. ② If the impeller is stuck or has a main force, it is generally a product quality problem, but you can also try to use rust remover.

2. Problem with the side locking point; if there is a problem with this place, it is usually rusted or the spring is deformed.

Solution: You can use rust remover to lubricate and remove rust. If you don’t have rust remover, you can also use cooking oil at home and the problem will be easily alleviated.

3. Problem with the top and bottom locks: This situation rarely occurs. If it does occur, it is normally caused by the top and bottom rods being rubbed a little by the lock hole when they are extended.

Solution: Press the lock holes of the upper and lower locks of the door leaf a little bit inwards of the door leaf so that the top and bottom rods are outside the lock holes and cannot hide inside the door leaf.

4. Problems with the lock body; under normal circumstances, the lock body is rusted, the lock tongue is bent, or the spring inside the lock body is broken.

Solution: ① If the lock body is rusted, you can use rust remover, and then use the lock core to move the lock tongue back and forth, the rust problem will be alleviated. ② If the lock tongue is bent, you must ask a professional to disassemble the lock body, and straighten the bent position to solve the problem. ③ If the spring inside the lock body is broken, the lock body needs to be replaced normally, but for some professionals who have accessories, they can also disassemble the lock body and replace the accessories.

Suggestion: If the lock tongue is bent or the internal parts are broken, I personally recommend replacing the lock body. It is basically impossible to repair it to its original state, and there will be some resistance.

5. The key hole on the door frame does not match; if it does not match the key hole normally, the key can only be pushed out a little when closing the door, and it cannot be completely locked. Normally, there are two levels of keys for closing the door with an anti-theft lock.

Solution: You can use a file or angle grinder to enlarge the lock hole on the door frame corresponding to the door leaf downwards, and expand the upper and lower points of the sky and earth ports one to the left and the other to the right, so that the problem can be alleviated.

6. The door frame and the door leaf collide; this indicates that the original door was of poor quality, the material is particularly thin, and it has deformed or sunk severely.

Solution: If this happens, you can only knock the touched position in another direction, both the door leaf and the door frame, to make the door gap larger and alleviate the collision problem.

Special reminder: If the deformation in question five is not particularly serious, you don’t need to consider replacing the security door; if it is the case with question six, it is recommended to replace the security door; as the guardian of the home, Liu Zhi believes that you should buy Class A security doors, and never save on this cost, otherwise it will cause more trouble in the later stage and the cost of use will be higher.

The core components of anti-theft doors

The core components of anti-theft doors are mainly: door frames, door leaves, hinges, door locks, etc. Among them, door locks are the core products of anti-theft doors, which determine the anti-theft coefficient to a certain extent; while the quality of door frames, door leaves, and hinges mainly determines the appearance, service life and deformation degree of anti-theft doors, and basically has no great effect on the anti-theft coefficient, because uninvited guests cannot forcibly destroy anti-theft doors to commit theft.

How to find out if the anti-theft door switch is not smooth

⒈Check the locks.

Open the door there, use the key to open and close the door to see if it opens and close smoothly. If it does, it means there is no problem with the lock, top and bottom locks, or side lock points. If not, proceed to the next step.

⒉ Remove the two side lock points on the side of the door leaf to see if it is smooth. If it is smooth, install the side lock points and proceed to the next step.

⒊ Remove the lock. Lock removal steps: ① Use a cross screwdriver to remove the two screws on the inner panel, then you can remove the two panel handles. ② Use a cross screwdriver to remove the lock core decorative cover and remove the cover. ③ Remove the screws that fix the lock core on the side of the lock body, then the lock core can be pulled out. ④ Remove the two screws on the upper and lower guide plates of the lock body. ⑤ Take out the lock body.

⒋ Check whether the lock cylinder is smooth. Use the key to rotate the lock cylinder. If it is smooth, it means there is no problem with the lock cylinder.

⒌ Check whether the lock body is smooth. Put the lock core into the lock body and fix it, then use the key to rotate the lock core to see if the lock body is smooth. If it is smooth, it means there is no problem with the lock body.

⒍ Check whether the upper and lower locks are smooth. Use your fingers to push the upper and lower lock rods to see if they are smooth in and out. If they are smooth, it means that there is no problem with the lock and the toilet point, and go to the next step.

⒎ Check whether the top and bottom locks, side lock points and lock tongue correspond to the lock holes on the door frame.
