When are yellow bananas and apples ripe?

Yellow banana apples usually ripen in October every year.

The flowering period of apples varies greatly due to different climates. Generally, it is concentrated in April and May, and may be delayed to May or early June in some low-temperature areas. Each flower bud has 3 to 7 flowers, and the central flower blooms first. Apples are cross-pollinated plants, and most varieties cannot bear fruit through self-pollination.

Flower color: white with pink tint when in bud.

When are apples ripe?

In northern China, apples bloom from the end of March to April, which is around the Qingming Festival every year. The earliest apples mature in early July and the latest in late September. Early-ripening apples are of poor quality, sour, and have a short storage time. Late-ripening apples are of good quality and durable. They can be stored in a temperature-controlled warehouse until June or July of the following year, or even until new apples are on the market. However, the longer the storage time, the worse the quality.

Why do we sell apples before they are ripe?

The apples sold outside are usually 70% ripe, not fully ripe. There are several reasons for this:

One reason is based on market demand. The earlier apples are on the market, the better the price. So everyone starts selling them before they are ripe!

Second, the amount of apples in the farmers' homes is too large. If we wait until they are ripe to pick them all at once, it will be too late. Time does not allow. Generally, in the apple ripening season, the farmers are busy for one or two months. Therefore, the later the apples are, the more ripe they are, and the sweeter they are!!

But one thing is certain: although the apples are 70% ripe, they are not ripened with drugs, because there is no need. The color of the apples is already very beautiful after they are picked. The use of drugs to ripen them is nothing more than to make the apples look better and sell better! !

How to distinguish good apples from bad ones

1. First of all, some unscrupulous vendors will deceive buyers. When buying apples, you must carefully select them one by one. Some apples have labels. If you want to buy them, you must tear off the labels and check if there are any problems under the labels. Many apples have defects under the labels.

2. Crisp, delicious and juicy apples are generally not too red on the surface, but just a little pink, and half of them are slightly green. Moreover, the stripes on the surface of such apples are not very smooth. Generally speaking, crisp, delicious and juicy apples have ripples on the surface, similar to the ripples of watermelons, but the color is different.

3. The surface of those apples that are not moist and taste bad is smooth and has no stripes. And generally the whole apple will be red or pink.

4. In addition, some black shops have some fruits that have not been sold for a long time. In order to prevent the apples from rotting, the shop owners will wax the surface of the apples and then sell them. These waxed apples are very harmful to the human body. Generally, the surface of waxed apples is very smooth and oily. If you touch it with your hand, you will feel greasy.

5. In addition, some very red apples are not really red, but are coated with some kind of drug on the surface. Although they look bright red, they are still unripe inside and very sour. Moreover, the drugs on the surface are also very harmful to the human body.
