Why can't the electric car battery be charged? What should I do?

Batteries are storage batteries that provide power for motor vehicles. Battery cars and electric cars rely on battery power to start successfully. So the battery should be charged regularly. However, it is abnormal if the battery is charged too quickly or not charged at all. So what should we do in these two situations?

Why does the electric car battery charge quickly?

There are two possibilities for this problem:

One is the battery problem, which is more likely to happen. After a certain number of years of use, the battery's capacity will decrease, causing the vehicle to be fully charged quickly, but the power will also be used up quickly. If this happens, it means that the vehicle's battery may be failing and needs to be replaced.

Another possibility is that the vehicle or charger has a problem, which is relatively unlikely. In actual situations, you still need to go to a nearby professional repair station for repair.

Why can't the battery car be charged?

There are several reasons why the battery cannot be charged.

First, the socket is faulty.

When plugged in for charging, if the charger does not light up and there is no response at all, you should check the charging power socket to see if there is no power in the socket.

Second, the charger is faulty.

After ruling out the possibility that the problem is with the power socket, if the battery still cannot be charged, check the AC cord where the charger is plugged. Check whether the plug has been oxidized or has poor contact due to frequent charging.

Third, the charging port is faulty.

If the green light on the charger is on during charging, first check the charger output DC to the battery charging socket to see if the wire ends of the socket are loose.

Fourth, the battery terminal is faulty.

After ruling out that there is no problem with the charging port, if it still cannot charge, check each terminal of the battery to see if the screws are loose or the wires are severely oxidized.

Fifth, battery failure.

If the battery still cannot be charged after all the above reasons have been eliminated, then it is the battery problem. When our electric vehicle is not used for a long time, if it cannot be charged when charged, it means that the battery is seriously depleted and "starved to death". In fact, when our electric vehicle is not in use, its own circuit control system is also consuming power.

We can use the activation method to activate the battery. If it is a 60V electric vehicle, we can use a 48V charger to charge it for about 20 minutes, and then charge it with a 60V charger. In this way, the battery will be activated. If it is a 48V, it can be activated with a 36V charger.

How to check if the battery is bad?

If you want to determine whether the battery is damaged, mainly look at the color of the positive and negative poles of the battery wiring. If it is green, it means the battery is still good. If it is red, it means the internal resistance has increased and the internal plates have been sulfurized and need to be desulfurized. If it is already white, then the battery is beyond saving and it is recommended that you replace it with a new set of batteries.

The battery warranty period is one year. If there is any problem within one year, you can ask the merchant to replace the battery. However, the battery can only be replaced with a turnover battery or a maintenance battery after half a year of use, and cannot be replaced with a new battery.
