How to defrost sardines

Add salt to the warm water and put the fish in. The warm water with salt will not make the fish lose its freshness and will speed up the thawing process.

To defrost fish, water is usually used. The temperature of cold water is between 5℃ and 10℃, which is much higher than the temperature of frozen fish. Using cold water to defrost frozen fish is sufficient.

Due to the large temperature difference between hot water and frozen fish, the outer layer of the fish will often become soft while the inside will still retain a sub-zero temperature, making it difficult to melt through.
