What does corpus luteum atrophy mean?

Corpus luteum incomplete contraction is a gynecological problem that is common among women of childbearing age. Corpus luteum incomplete contraction can cause women to have irregular menstruation, infertility and other symptoms. Therefore, it needs to be taken seriously after diagnosis. However, many women are not very familiar with the phenomenon of corpus luteum incomplete contraction. They do not know that corpus luteum incomplete contraction cannot be cured. What does corpus luteum incomplete contraction mean?

Lutein atrophy does not always mean that the level of progesterone secreted by progesterone is insufficient, or that the progesterone decreases too early, resulting in poor metabolism of the uterine wall, which in turn leads to difficulty in implantation of the fertilized egg, menstrual disorders, or miscarriage in early pregnancy.

1. In summary, it is believed that incomplete contraction of the corpus luteum is closely related to women's endocrine insufficiency and luteal insufficiency. The causes of endocrine insufficiency are also relatively complex. Therefore, once the condition of incomplete contraction of the corpus luteum occurs, it is basically difficult to cure, and on the contrary, it may become more and more serious. It is recommended that female friends should not be optimistic when they get this disease, but should actively carry out comprehensive and all-round treatment for the cause of the disease.

2. The methods currently used in clinical medicine to treat lutein deficiency and improve luteal insufficiency are mainly the following:

(1) Supplementation of luteal copper: Some women are found to have poor endometrial metabolism and low estrogen levels during the follicular phase, so luteal copper replacement therapy should be carried out. The method of taking the medicine is to take it 2 days after the basic body temperature rises after ovulation, and it can be used until the next menstrual period.

(2) hcg gonadotropin: When the egg is about to mature, in order to promote its early discharge, hcg gonadotropin treatment can be used. It can adapt to corpus luteum insufficiency, stimulate the growth of progesterone, increase the service life of progesterone, and increase the production of progesterone. Generally, patients need to start injecting from the third day after ovulation when the basic body temperature rises, once a day, for a total of 5-6 injections.

(3) Clomiphene: Appropriate use of clomiphene can induce ovulation, especially for women who have failed to take progesterone supplements. They can take clomiphene in the early stage of ovulation. Continuous use for 5 days can increase the pregnancy rate.

I believe that after reading this, everyone has already understood that corpus luteum atrophy is not always an incurable disease. Therefore, after the disease occurs, it is necessary to actively treat it under the guidance of a doctor. In daily life, you should also pay attention to correcting unhealthy lifestyles in order to speed up the recovery speed and reduce the incidence of other complications.
