What to do if you always want to urinate during pregnancy

When mothers are pregnant, they often have frequent urination, especially starting from the second trimester. Often, they feel the urge to urinate again soon after urinating. As the baby grows bigger in the belly, the uterus dilates and presses on the bladder, causing the urge to urinate. This is not a reaction that we cannot avoid, but there are several ways to alleviate it. Let me share with you below.

Wear more clothes and avoid cold water, especially in winter. Keep your whole body warm. When your body is warm, you will not easily experience symptoms such as abdominal tightening and the urge to urinate. Even if there is, it only occurs every thirty minutes or so.

Lie down more and stand up or stand for longer periods of time less often. When we are in bed, it will relieve the pressure of the uterus on the bladder, thereby reducing the frequency of urination. If you stand up or stand for a long time, you will not only feel tired, but also want to go to the bathroom frequently.

Eat chestnuts. Chestnuts are also rich in nutrients, which are not only good for the mother's body, but also can protect the kidneys. Frequent urination by pregnant mothers will cause some damage to the kidneys. Taking care of and adjusting them can also reduce the urge to urinate to a certain extent.

Drink water in moderation and eat more fruits. When mothers are pregnant, they may experience dry mouth and thirst, so they start drinking large cups of water. Although the water quenches their thirst, they urinate more frequently. Therefore, it is recommended that everyone eat some fresh fruits with high water content, which can replace drinking water to a certain extent, not only quench thirst, but also supplement vitamins for the body.

Don't eat cold food. Some mothers may eat cold foods when they are pregnant, and think it is okay to eat as long as they eat less. However, after eating cold food, on the one hand, it will cause uterine contraction, and on the other hand, it will cause a normal urination sensation.

Don't go to the bathroom as soon as you feel the urge to urinate. If you go to the bathroom very frequently, for example, once every five or six minutes, just hold it in for a while before going. Hold it in for as long as you can and try to squat or stand more often.
