Best time to get cervical cancer screening

For adolescents who do not need cervical cytology examination, the most important thing is to ensure that they receive appropriate health and epidemic prevention, including health risk assessment, contraceptive measures, and prevention, screening and treatment of reproductive tract infections. So, when is the best time to screen for cervical cancer?

1. The couple has been having sex for about 3 years.

2. No later than 21 years old.

3. For adolescents and children who do not need cervical cytology examination, the most important thing is to ensure that they receive health and epidemic prevention, including health risk assessment, contraceptive measures, and prevention, screening and treatment of reproductive tract infections.

4. It is strongly recommended that the following women undergo screening: those who have never been screened, those whose previous screening information is unclear, and those whose previous screening results are unreliable.

The following women should continue to be screened as long as they are in good health and have no chronic diseases that limit their daily life: those with a history of cervical cancer, those exposed to diethylstilbestrol in the uterus, and/or those with impaired immunity (including HIV-positive patients), etc. Unless there is a large amount of clear material, women who test positive for human papillomavirus infection (HPV) DNA should continue to be screened under the guidance of their health care providers;

Women over 70 should discuss the necessity of screening with their health care providers based on their actual situation, including careful consideration, understanding the limitations of screening, etc., and sign an informed consent form whether to screen again; women over 70 who have preserved their cervix and have had more than three normal (or negative) cervical cytology tests in the past 10 years and no abnormal (or positive) cytology findings; women with complications or serious life-threatening diseases can give up cervical cancer screening.
