How much does a colposcopy cost?

Colposcopy is a procedure that uses a colposcope to magnify the epithelial cells in the cervix and vagina by 10-40 times under direct light for direct observation in order to observe subtle changes that are invisible to the human eye. The main content of the examination is whether the patient has infection, inflammation, and whether there is cervical erosion. The whole process of colposcopy is similar to the whole process of a camera working. A soft water tube can show the panoramic view of the cervix and vagina.

How much does a colposcopy cost? The cost of a colposcopy is approximately between 100 and 200 yuan, and may fluctuate slightly in some areas. Colposcopy can be performed repeatedly and is non-invasive and has no side effects. However, special attention should be paid to stopping vaginal washing and applying medication within 3 days before the examination. Sexual intercourse is strictly prohibited, and vaginal washing and vaginal suppositories are not allowed. It is best to show your doctor the results of cervical acid-fast staining or TCT in advance to help determine whether a puncture biopsy is needed.

Colposcopy should generally be performed within half a month after the menstrual period ends. There is no time limit for those suspected of cervical cancer or precancerous lesions. If there are changes in the cervical canal, it is advisable to check it close to the ovulation period. Patients undergoing colposcopy do not need to abstain from food, have a cleansing enema, shave, or be hospitalized. For patients who receive sliced slices, the hemostatic gauze in the female vagina can be removed when taking a shower at night. If during this period, you feel that there is always blood loss or a lot of bleeding after the gauze is removed, you should first go to the hospital outpatient emergency room for treatment.

Common problems with colposcopic biopsy include:

1. Do not irrigate the vagina after a puncture biopsy. This is because a small wound will be left on the cervix after a puncture biopsy. Some external medications should not be used after a puncture biopsy.

2. After the biopsy, you should not have sexual intercourse within one month. After one month, it is best to wear a condom when having sexual intercourse to prevent infection.

3. After the puncture biopsy, cervical cancer patients will experience vaginal bleeding and need to rest in bed and keep the perineum clean.

4. If the bleeding is severe, immediate intravenous injection is required to prevent anemia.

5. Do not take a bath or do vaginal irrigation within 1-2 weeks after the biopsy.
