The main symptoms of anxiety disorders in women

Anxiety disorders in women do not differ from anxiety disorders in men in terms of their symptoms. The patient may present with onset, unexpected, sudden, and significant degree of fear as the clinical symptom. The patient often has obvious anxiety and restlessness. The attack often lasts for 5-20 minutes, rarely exceeding 1 hour. During the onset period, the patient has clear consciousness and high vigilance. After the onset, he is anxious and worried about recurrence.

Patients may also show widespread and persistent anxiety, not limited to a specific external environment. The symptoms are highly variable and varied, and may cause nervousness, sweating, heaviness in the upper body, palpitations, dizziness, upper abdominal discomfort, etc.

Anxiety disorder, also known as anxiety neurosis, is the most common type of neurosis, with depressive feelings as its main feature. Anxiety can be divided into two types: diffuse anxiety, namely generalized anxiety, and acute anxiety, namely panic attack. Specific manifestations include: anxiety and worry without clear objective goals, restlessness, and autonomic nervous system imbalance symptoms, such as palpitations, hand tremors, sweating, frequent urination, and restlessness of the autonomic movement. Be careful to distinguish normal depression. If the severity of the anxiety is significantly inconsistent with the objectivity of the truth or the situation, or lasts too long, it may be physiological anxiety.

Clinical symptoms

1. Diffuse anxiety (generalized anxiety disorder)

(1) In the absence of obvious causes, patients with mental illness often have excessive worries and anxieties that are inconsistent with the actual situation. Such anxieties often have no clear purpose or content. The patient feels that he is always in a state of panic, fear, worry and anxiety.

(2) Autonomic nervous system symptoms include dizziness, chest tightness, shortness of breath, panic, dyspnea, dry mouth, frequent urination, urgency, inability to hold urine, sweating, shaking, etc.

(3) Autonomic movements: restlessness, anxiety, irritation, and inability to calm down.

2. Acute anxiety (panic attack)

(1) Feeling of impending death or loss of control. In normal daily life, the patient is basically the same as an ordinary person. Once the disease occurs (some have special opening scenarios, such as being closed, etc.), the patient suddenly experiences an extremely fearful psychological state, feeling a sense of impending death or loss of control.

(2) Symptoms of the central nervous system of plants also include chest tightness, shortness of breath, panic, difficulty breathing, sweating, and trembling.

(3) The onset of the disease is usually sudden and lasts for more than ten minutes to several hours, and the patient is conscious at the time of onset.

(4) It is very easy to misdiagnose. When the disease occurs, patients usually dial the "120" emergency number and go to the cardiology department for outpatient treatment. Although the patient looks seriously ill, the corresponding test results are mostly normal, so the diagnosis is often not confirmed. After the onset of the disease, the patient is still extremely frightened and worried about his or her condition. He or she often goes to various departments of various hospitals and undergoes various tests, but cannot be diagnosed. It not only delays treatment but also leads to the extravagant waste of medical resources.
