Can women still get pregnant after menopause?

As we all know, women in their forties to fifties will experience menopause, which is a condition in which menstruation is reduced or absent. Generally speaking, it is not possible to get pregnant after menopause. So, why can pregnancy continue after menopause? What should women do after becoming pregnant? Let me tell you about it below.

Why do you still get pregnant after menopause?

The age of menopause is generally between 45 and 55 years old. The early or late stage of menopause in women varies greatly and is related to many factors. Generally, girls have early menarche and early menopause. Medical English refers to a period of less than or equal to 21 days as "frequent menstruation". On the other hand, a period of 40 days or more is called "oligomenorrhea" (and more than 90 days is called "amenorrhea").

When a girl has not had her first menstruation after the age of 18, or when a woman has normal menstruation during her reproductive years but suddenly stops having menstruation for more than three months, it is called amenorrhea. For example, women with too low a body fat percentage (such as athletes and those who are overweight due to malnutrition) affect the normal endocrine system of the uterus and ovaries and are prone to amenorrhea.

From the perspective of causes, genetic inheritance is also a key factor in premature ovarian failure. Studies have found that women whose mothers went through menopause before the age of 45 have a 70% chance of also going through menopause before the age of 45. Some diseases such as tumor radiotherapy and chemotherapy, previous mumps, viral infection, radiation sources, obstetrics and gynecology surgery, etc. can cause aging. But what I want to remind you is that the uterus and ovary are very delicate tissues. Air pollution, staying up late for a long time, excessive mental stress, often wearing tight pants and hot pants, etc., may also cause ovarian enlargement and even premature ovarian failure, and these are exactly the factors we can control. In daily life, we must ensure a regular life, maintain a peaceful state of mind, and eat more vegetables, beans, etc.!
