Frequent urination in women

Frequent urination in women

Many pregnant women experience increased urination frequency during pregnancy. This is because as the uterus enlarges, it presses on the bladder, thus affecting the urinary and reproductive system, causing increased urination frequency in pregnant women. So do you know that pregnant women often urinate every ten minutes? Next, let us understand this issue together.

Frequent urination during pregnancy

A normal adult urinates 4-6 times during the day and 0-2 times at night. A significant increase in frequency is called frequent urination and urgency. Frequent and urgent urination is a symptom, not a disease. The main manifestation of frequent urination and urgency in pregnant women is that when they are not pregnant, they urinate an average of 4 to 6 times a day during the day and 0 to 2 times after sleeping at night. When the frequency of urination during the day exceeds 7 times and the frequency of urination at night exceeds 2 times, and the interval between them is within 2 hours, it is medically called frequent urination and urgency. Pregnant women experience increased urination frequency and a feeling of incomplete urination after urination, which is the main manifestation of frequent urination and urgency, which is related to the position of the uterus.

Common problems of frequent urination and urgency in pregnant women

1. Eat less diuretic food: Pregnant mothers in the early and late stages of pregnancy should eat less diuretic food at night, such as melon, clams, coix seed, winter melon, kelp (kelp), Alisma (health food), plantain, corn silk, etc. have good diuretic effect, so they should avoid eating too much.

2. Avoid lying on your back: Pregnant mothers should pay attention to lying on their side when resting, and avoid lying on their back. Sleeping on your side can reduce the compression of the uterus on the urethra and prevent infection caused by urine accumulation in the renal pelvis and urethra. In addition, experts remind expectant mothers who are accustomed to sleeping on their backs to be careful of "supine hypotension syndrome", which can even cause shock in severe cases.

3. Don’t hold your urine: The bladder that stores urine has a certain degree of flexibility. Normally, the bladder is not big, but when there is more and more urine, the bladder will be stretched. If you don't urinate in time for a long time, the bladder will lose its elasticity and cannot return to normal. In addition, it will prevent the waste produced by the human body from being excreted and may also cause uremia.

I think everyone has read the above content and has a certain understanding of the problem of frequent urination every ten minutes during pregnancy and frequent urination and urgency. Pregnant women have difficulty walking during pregnancy, so they should reduce diuretic foods in their diet and urinate less frequently as much as possible, but do not intentionally hold urine in order to urinate less.
