39 weeks of pregnancy, the fetus is still hiccuping

When the fetus arrives and there are fetal movements, pregnant women's friends and relatives will feel very happy, and feel that they have a certain communication with the fetus. During routine physical examinations, they should pay attention to the condition of the fetus and understand any abnormalities. For example, does the baby still hiccup after the fetal head enters the pelvis? Regarding this issue, relevant personnel said that generally the baby will hiccup.

Is it normal to have hiccups at 39 weeks of pregnancy?

If the baby still hiccups at 39 weeks of pregnancy, and your fetal heart rate monitoring is normal and there is no problem with the B-ultrasound, then everything is normal. In medicine, hiccups are called "hiccups". Adults may experience short-term hiccups if they are exposed to cold stimulation, overfull, eat too fast, or eat dry food.

Starting around the 28th week of pregnancy, the fetus will continue to absorb amniotic fluid in the mother's body to exercise the lungs' breathing. The bronchi continue to grow in the amniotic fluid, just like an adult eating, and continue to absorb. There is a thick muscle membrane like a hat between the fetus's chest and abdomen, called the diaphragm, which separates the chest and abdomen. Like other organs of the human body, the diaphragm also has nerve distribution and blood supply. When the stimulus that causes hiccups is transmitted to the brain, the brain will send out commands to cause the diaphragm to spasm and contract, thus causing hiccups.

Experts suggest that it is normal for the fetus to hiccup, just like us adults breathing. Because the fetus's lungs have not yet developed well, it needs to continue to absorb amniotic fluid and train the lungs to breathe while absorbing amniotic fluid, so that it can breathe normally like an adult after birth. In other words, the baby's hiccups are actually a way to improve the lungs' breathing ability, so mothers don't need to worry too much. Just gently caress the baby when he hiccups. The hiccups will not last more than ten minutes.
