Brown discharge from placenta previa

Brown discharge from placenta previa

What is the reason for brown discharge from placenta previa? Expectant mothers should be cautious when they find that the placenta is low during examination, because the low placenta poses a great threat to the social development of the fetus, and it is easy to cause bleeding during pregnancy. Therefore, they should pay great attention to prevention, avoid squatting normally, and observe the bleeding carefully.

1. First of all, I suggest that pregnant mothers do not worry too much, because excessive anxiety is bad for the health of the baby and themselves. For some pregnant women with low-lying placenta, as the pregnancy progresses, the lower segment of the uterus becomes longer, the position of the placenta rises, and the embryo no longer remains low-lying. If there is no obvious discomfort before 28 weeks of pregnancy and the baby is developing well, it is recommended to observe again and no treatment is needed. Check the embryo with B-ultrasound at 28 weeks of pregnancy. If it is still low, treatment is needed.

2. Because a low-lying placenta is very prone to bleeding before delivery, if the bleeding is heavy, it may lead to premature birth, stillbirth, and intrauterine fetal death. You just need to pay attention to your daily health care and the probability of complications is low. Pay attention to rest, avoid overwork, do not use too much force when changing posture, including when defecating. Prevent constipation and sexual intercourse. If you notice bleeding, see a doctor immediately.

3. Avoid squatting

When a pregnant mother has a low placenta, she should carry out proper lifestyle care, but avoid any excessive exercise, such as running, jumping, etc., and some postures are absolutely inappropriate, such as squatting.

Pregnant women already have a protruding abdomen, and their lower limbs bear a lot of pressure, so it will be more difficult for them to squat. For pregnant women with low placenta, if they squat, the cervix will dilate, and the embryo located lower will be stretched, causing separation and bleeding. Therefore, for pregnant women with low placenta, squatting is absolutely unnecessary.

4. Carefully observe the patient's condition

If there is heavy bleeding, repeated bleeding, or labor has already occurred, termination of pregnancy should be considered according to the situation. It is recommended to keep close observation and follow the instructions of the attending physician.
