Can advanced breast cancer be cured?

Breast cancer is bad news for women. Everyone may have a deep feeling about cancer, and they all think that if it develops into cancer, it will be a terminal illness. In fact, there are many misunderstandings. Not all cancers are fatal and incurable. Some can be cured. So, can women with terminal breast cancer be cured?

Can terminal breast cancer be cured?

Advanced breast cancer does not immediately threaten life, and survival depends on a comprehensive decision made based on the patient's basic condition, metastatic status, and chosen treatment. Patients with advanced breast cancer can also achieve a good prognosis by actively receiving treatment based on their own condition and disease metastasis. For example, in the case of terminal breast cancer with isolated diseases, surgical removal may provide a second chance of recovery, and the life expectancy after surgery is the same as that of ordinary people.

What are the symptoms of breast cancer:

1. Breast lumps. 80% of breast cancer patients first present to the doctor with breast lumps. Patients often discover breast lumps inadvertently, which are mostly single, hard, with irregular edges and a rough surface. Most breast cancers are painless lumps, and only a few are accompanied by varying degrees of dull pain or tingling. Abnormalities of the nipple or papilla, or tumors located in or close to the superficial layer of the nipple, can cause nipple retraction.

2. Nipple discharge: the discharge of blood, plasma, milk, or concentrated liquid from the nipple during the non-pregnancy period, or the continued discharge of milk after breastfeeding for more than half a year is called nipple discharge. There are many causes of nipple discharge, the most common of which are intraductal papilloma, breast hyperplasia, mammary duct ectasia and breast cancer. Persistent discharge from a single hole on one side should be further examined, and if accompanied by a breast lump, it should be taken seriously.

Reasonable ways to prevent mastitis:

1. Choose a suitable bra, which is beneficial to the blood circulation system

During the entire process of pregnancy, female friends should choose appropriate bras to properly support the breasts to prevent breast sagging or damage to breast tissue, which will affect the normal blood circulation of the breasts.

2. Proper breast cleaning is beneficial to breast health

Pregnant women have active glandular secretion, and scale or scab often appears on the nipples. Forcible removal will hurt the skin. First, apply edible oil or soybean oil to loosen the scale, and then remove it. This can make the breasts healthier!

3. Improve the physical strength of nipple resistance

During pregnancy, you can use clean and soft fabrics to gently rub the nipples and nipple skin to increase the elasticity and flexibility of the skin, so that the breasts can increase their ability to resist irritation during breastfeeding and reduce the chance of mastitis.

4. Expectant mothers with nipple indentations on one or both sides should stretch

Pregnant mothers can first clean their nipples and breasts, pinch the nipples with two fingers, and slowly stretch them in the order of left and right first, then up and down, and repeat this process twice a day, each time for 5 minutes. Firstly, it can play the role of nipple health care; secondly, it can make the nipple protrude and create good conditions for the baby to suck milk in the future.
