Why do you have stomach pain in early pregnancy?

For mothers who are pregnant for the first time, any slight abnormality in the early pregnancy will cause us to pay close attention. Stomach pain in the early pregnancy also makes expectant mothers anxious. What is going on? Will it affect the baby? Let’s understand why stomach pain occurs during pregnancy?

Stomach pain is a normal physiological need in early pregnancy. As the uterus enlarges and stimulates the bones, pregnant women will feel a dull stretching pain in the abdomen. But it should be noted that if persistent abdominal pain is accompanied by bleeding symptoms, you should be hospitalized for examination first. This physiological abdominal pain may mean miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy. Therefore, when abdominal pain occurs in early pregnancy, we must learn to distinguish between physiological abdominal pain and physiological abdominal pain.

Actual causes of stomach pain in early pregnancy:

1. Uterine enlargement stimulates bones

During pregnancy, you may feel your abdomen getting bigger day by day, and then your skin will feel tight. If you like sports very much, you may feel a vague stretching pain in your abdomen after a spring outing or playing badminton, which is similar to the usual stomachache. For some pregnant women, the enlarged uterus constantly stimulates the outer edge of the ribs, which may cause rib pain or pain due to the relaxation and separation of the ischial tuberosity, and even cause limited movement. However, these conditions are all normal physiological needs during pregnancy and do not require special treatment. The pain can be relieved by sleeping on the left side of the mother. Pregnant mothers don’t need to worry, the symptoms can be relieved by resting in bed more.

2. Pathological causes such as ectopic pregnancy and uterine adnexal disease

In the early stages of pregnancy, abdominal pain is more obvious and unbearable. Pregnant mothers should do a blood hCG test to rule out threatened miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy, or further do a comprehensive physical examination to rule out other uterine adnexal diseases.
