How will pregnant women react if the fetus stops developing?

Many women become increasingly paranoid during pregnancy, worrying about the health of the fetus every day, fearing that their carelessness will cause the fetus to stop growing, and also afraid that they are careless and don't know, so they spend every day in anxiety and worry. In fact, if the fetus stops developing, the pregnant woman will feel it, and the fetus will send a survival signal to the mother.

1. Early pregnancy. If fetal growth retardation occurs in the early stages of pregnancy, there will be more obvious symptoms. The pregnancy sickness reaction will generally disappear around 12 weeks, and then suddenly disappear early. You should also pay attention to the possibility that the fetus may have stopped developing. In addition, as the breast swelling subsides or decreases, the color of the aggravated areola does not become darker but lighter. Vaginal bleeding and lower abdominal pain are all signals from fetal development arrest, which require attention and go to the hospital for treatment in time.

2. Mid-pregnancy. If the fetus stops growing in the second trimester, it will not be as obvious as in the early stages of pregnancy. After all, the morning sickness will subside during this period. However, the development of the baby depends on the embryo absorbing nutrients and oxygen from the pregnant mother. In the middle of pregnancy, the fetus may stop developing due to problems with the growth and development of the embryo. The expectant mother who has just had an amenorrhea will not feel it at the first time, but will have bleeding symptoms after a period of time. At this time, the problem is more serious and miscarriage is very likely to occur. Therefore, once bleeding occurs, you must see a doctor for examination in time.

3. Mid-to-late pregnancy. It is quite common for the fetus to stop developing during this time. Generally, basic prenatal checkups are performed to monitor the fetal heart rate and use ultrasound to detect the baby's development to prevent fetal stillbirth. In this stage, expectant mothers can check the health of the fetus through fetal movements. They can conduct self-examination of the fetal movements every day to accurately grasp the fetal condition. If the fetal movements disappear, or they cannot be felt at all, or the uterus does not expand with the pregnancy month, and the weight decreases instead of increases, these are all bad signs and you need to see a doctor immediately.
