Brown warts around breasts

Brown warts around breasts

Women's breasts sometimes suffer from various diseases, especially during lactation. However, if a woman finds brown warts around her breasts, there is no need to worry. It may be caused by simple pigmentation and no treatment is required. However, if the brown warts are caused by seborrheic keratosis, it is best to go to a regular hospital for examination and treatment according to the disease.

Seborrheic keratoses (also called seborrheic warts) are flesh-colored, brown, or black skin growths that can appear anywhere.

Symptoms

This keratosis is most common on the trunk and temples; in blacks, especially women, it often appears on the face. It is more common in middle-aged and elderly people, and the cause is unknown. Seborrheic keratosis lesions vary in size, grow slowly, are round or oval in shape, and may have a waxy and scaly surface. They are benign and will not develop into cancer. Generally, no treatment is required. However, if there is irritation and itching or for cosmetic reasons, liquid nitrogen cryotherapy or surgical removal under local anesthesia can be used. There is little or no scarring after surgical excision.

Warts are growths on the skin caused by the human papillomavirus. It is more common in children and young people, with an incubation period of 1 to 3 months, and can spread by self-inoculation. The virus exists in the spinous cells and can promote cell proliferation and form wart-like lesions. According to clinical manifestations and locations, they are divided into common warts, flat warts, plantar warts, genital warts (condyloma acuminatum), oral warts, pharyngeal warts and epidermodysplasia verruciformis.

Warts are caused by infection with the human papillomavirus. It can be transmitted through direct or indirect contact. Anal and genital warts are mostly transmitted through sexual contact. Trauma or skin damage is an important factor in HPV infection. The course of warts is closely related to the body's immunity. The incidence of warts is increased in patients with immunodeficiency, such as kidney transplant recipients, malignant lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia and lupus erythematosus. However, the mechanism by which warts persist in relatively healthy people is still unclear.
