What does postpartum anterior wall bulging look like?

Compared with caesarean section, although vaginal delivery will bring greater pain to the mother, it will cause less harm to the body. Therefore, if conditions permit, many women will choose vaginal delivery. However, there are also sequelae to choosing natural vaginal delivery, such as anterior wall bulging after delivery. So what are the symptoms if a woman has anterior wall bulging after giving birth?

Why does the vaginal wall bulge after a normal birth?

Vaginal delivery is a natural physiological process. Most women can give birth smoothly, but some women will experience symptoms of anterior and posterior vaginal wall bulging after normal delivery. These symptoms can affect women's quality of life, and in severe cases may even endanger their physical health.

The anterior and posterior walls of the vagina are mainly supported by soft tissues such as ligaments and fascia. During delivery, due to the large fetus, long labor process, long-term downward force of the mother, early physical activity and weight-bearing after delivery, or long-term constipation, chronic cough and congenital developmental abnormalities, bulging of the anterior and posterior vaginal walls are likely to occur after delivery. Once it occurs, there are no obvious discomfort symptoms in mild cases, but severe cases can affect women's quality of life.

How to treat vaginal bulge

1. Mild bulging of the anterior and posterior vaginal walls does not cause any discomfort and is only found during examination. We can usually perform pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation training on our own, namely anal levator training, which is to hold your breath and contract the pelvic floor muscles, which is equivalent to stopping urination. Do rehabilitation training twice a day for ten to fifteen minutes each time.

2. For severe prolapse of the anterior and posterior vaginal walls, in addition to pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation training on your own, it is recommended to go to the hospital for rehabilitation treatment 42 days after delivery. Currently, many hospitals have pelvic floor rehabilitation equipment. If the symptoms are severe and affect the quality of life, surgical repair of the anterior or posterior vaginal wall can be performed.

The above is the relevant content about why the vaginal wall bulges after normal delivery. Postpartum vulvar wall prolapse is just one of the conditions that may occur to women after giving birth. Every birth of a baby is a happy thing, but it also causes varying degrees of damage to the female body. From this we can also see that mothers are very brave and great!
