How many days does it take for an ovarian follicle to mature?

Many women of childbearing age want to get pregnant but cannot. It is said that having sex during ovulation will increase the chance of conception. However, some women do not know when they ovulate and their menstruation is irregular. At this time, they need to monitor ovulation. After monitoring ovulation for a period of time, and then having sex under the guidance of a doctor, the chance of conception will be greater. If the follicle is 1.5, how many days will it take for it to mature?

Follicle 1.5 means that the follicle is 1.5 cm. If the vaginal color ultrasound examination shows that the size of the follicle is 1.5 cm, it means that it is close to maturity. The size of a normal mature follicle is about 1.7 to 1.8 cm, and it is estimated that it will mature and ovulate within the next two or three days.

However, the speed of follicle development is different for each person. If you want to have children, it is recommended to have sex every day until 24 hours after ovulation monitoring. Because sperm can survive for about three days after being released from the vagina, and egg can survive for about 24 hours after being released. If you have sex between three days before and 24 hours after ovulation, the chances of pregnancy are relatively high.

If your period is delayed for a week and you do not have a period, you may be pregnant. HCG is tested through blood drawing. Because urine testing can have errors, if the HCG test shows an increase, it means you are pregnant. A color Doppler ultrasound examination is needed to confirm the diagnosis of whether it is an intrauterine or ectopic pregnancy. Under normal circumstances, at five weeks of pregnancy, color ultrasound can detect the gestational sac, and at six to seven weeks of pregnancy, it can detect the fetal bud and the initial heartbeat fluctuations.

What to do if the follicles are immature?

The diameter of a normal mature egg is between 18 mm and 22 mm. If the diameter does not reach 18 mm, it means that the egg is immature and will affect normal conception.

If the eggs are immature, drugs can be used to induce ovulation. Currently, the commonly used drugs are clomiphene or letrozole tablets, and gonadotropin can also be used. Clomiphene and letrozole tablets can promote the normal development of follicles to induce ovulation. It is generally suitable for women with a certain level of estrogen in their bodies, and ovulation induction treatment can mostly be successful.

In addition, women should pay attention to dietary regulation in their daily lives and eat more soy products. Soy milk and tofu are rich in phytoestrogens, which can replenish estrogen in women's bodies and also have a certain regulating effect on the ovaries.
