Why does my chest hurt? Girls

There are many reasons why women experience chest pain. It may be due to the menstrual period or ovulation period. It is due to the influence of estrogen secretion, which can promote the development of breasts. Therefore, women don’t need to worry too much when they have chest pain. When women experience chest pain, it is not a normal physiological reaction. It is usually caused by symptoms of breast nodules or breast tumors. Women should understand the cause of chest pain.

What causes chest pain in girls?

Chest pain is a common clinical symptom with many causes. The location and severity of chest pain are not necessarily consistent with the location and severity of the lesion. Tissue damage caused by trauma, inflammation, tumors and certain physical and chemical factors can stimulate the intercostal nerves, phrenic nerves, dorsal roots of spinal nerves and vagus nerves distributed in the esophagus, bronchi, lungs, pleura, heart and aorta, all of which can cause chest pain. When identifying, you can first analyze which category it belongs to, and then identify the various causes within this category.

1. Breast pain during adolescence usually occurs between the ages of 9 and 13. The pain will disappear on its own after menarche.

2. Breast pain during pregnancy. Some women experience breast pain around 40 days of pregnancy due to the placenta and villi secreting large amounts of estrogen, progesterone and prolactin, which causes the breasts to enlarge and cause breast pain. In severe cases, the pain may last throughout the pregnancy and does not require treatment.

3. Premenstrual breast pain. Many women experience breast fullness, hardness, and tenderness before menstruation. In severe cases, the breasts will become swollen and painful with the slightest vibration or collision. The above changes may disappear after menstruation.

4. If the symptoms are severe or irregular, and there are local breast lumps, etc., they are pathological and require diagnosis and treatment by going to the hospital's surgery or breast specialist department for B-ultrasound and mammography examinations.

Note:

1. Eat a light diet, have a regular daily routine, and avoid bad habits such as staying up late.

2. Pay attention to rest, avoid fatigue and emotional excitement, eat a balanced diet, and combine work and rest.

3. In addition to taking medicine for breast pain, it is more important to maintain an optimistic mood and avoid getting angry or sulking often.

4. Exercise more and participate in appropriate social activities, and eat less salt and spicy food one week before menstruation.

Generally speaking, the main causes of chest pain in girls are mostly physiological reasons, such as breast pain during puberty, breast pain before menstruation, etc. These are physiological phenomena and generally do not require treatment. After this period of time, the symptoms of chest pain will slowly disappear, but if it is pathological pain, it should be treated in time.

Ten ways to relieve breast pain in women

1. Massage your breasts frequently. Gently massaging the breasts can help return excess body fluid to the lymphatic system. When massaging, first apply soapy liquid to the breast, and rotate your fingers along the surface of the breast in a circle about the size of a coin. Then use your hands to press the breasts in and bounce them up, which is extremely helpful in preventing breast discomfort.

2. Wear a secure bra. In addition to preventing breast sagging, the more important function of a bra is to prevent further compression of the already compressed breast nerves and eliminate discomfort. Careful sisters will find that those jogging athletes wear stable bras for this health reason.

3. Apply hot compress. Hot compress is a traditional Chinese medical treatment that can relieve breast pain by using a hot pack, hot water bottle, or hot bath. If you use alternating cold and hot compresses, the effect of eliminating breast discomfort will be better.

4. Change your eating habits. Eat a low-fat, high-fiber diet and consume fiber from whole grains (whole grains), vegetables, and beans.

5. Don’t eat salty or spicy sausages. High-salt foods can easily cause breast enlargement, and such foods should be avoided especially in the 7-10 days before menstruation.

6. Take vitamins. The diet should contain foods rich in vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, and B vitamins. These vitamins help regulate the production of prostaglandin E. At the same time, eat less margarine because the hydrogenated fat in it interferes with the body's ability to convert essential fatty acids (from food) into gamma-linoleic acid (GIA), which promotes the formation of prostaglandin E and inhibits the production of prolactin.

7. Stay away from coffee. Does caffeine cause breast discomfort? This has not been proven. However, according to medical surveys, many women with breast pain and other benign symptoms have significant improvement in their symptoms after quitting caffeine. Therefore, you have to give up coffee completely, which means you have to completely give up soda, chocolate, ice cream, tea, and caffeinated painkillers.

8. Apply castor oil to your chest. Castor oil contains a substance that can enhance the function of T11 lymphocytes, which can accelerate the recovery of various infections and eliminate pain. The method is: drop castor oil on cotton cloth folded into four layers, let it be soaked with castor oil, but not too wet to avoid dripping everywhere. Apply the cloth to your breasts, cover with a layer of plastic wrap, and then place a hot compress bag on top. Adjust the heat pack to a temperature you can tolerate and leave it on for an hour.

9. Prevent obesity. For women who are overweight, losing weight can help relieve breast pain.

10. Avoid diuretics. Diuretics do help remove fluid from the body and can also reduce breast swelling. But this immediate relief comes at a cost. Excessive use of diuretics can lead to potassium loss, disrupt electrolyte balance, and affect glucose formation.
