What are the signs of the first menstrual period after childbirth?

Many women will not have menstruation after pregnancy, so some women will ignore some of the signs and signals shown by their bodies when they have their first menstruation after giving birth. There is actually not much difference between the first menstruation after childbirth and normal menstruation. The specific symptoms are also related to the individual's physical constitution, so you just need to be prepared. So are there any signs of the first menstruation after childbirth?

1. Most women do not have any reaction before menstruation. A few women will experience breast pain, back pain, abdominal pain, dizziness, fatigue, etc. before the first menstruation after childbirth. However, each person's situation is different and the reaction is also different. Women generally resume menstruation two months to six months after childbirth. Menstruation may recover more slowly for breastfeeding women. Pay attention to recheck color ultrasound after menstruation and pay attention to whether the menstrual volume is normal. If the above indicators are normal, there is no need to worry. Pay attention to rest during menstruation, keep warm, and eat less raw, cold and irritating foods.

2. Generally speaking, women who give birth naturally will start menstruating 6-8 weeks after delivery, and the amount of the first menstrual period after delivery varies from person to person. For mothers who breastfeed, breastfeeding increases the level of prolactin in the body, inhibits ovulation, and causes menstruation to come later. They may also experience irregular menstruation, variable menstrual flow, and unstable menstrual timing. Generally, the menstrual cycle will return to normal in 2-3 months. If you are overweight, under too much mental stress, or have ovarian dysfunction problems, you may experience irregular menstruation or amenorrhea after childbirth.

3. In fact, the first menstruation after childbirth is not much different from normal menstruation. The time it takes to resume menstruation after childbirth varies from person to person. If you are in good health, menstruation will resume earlier. If your body is weak and your Qi and blood are insufficient, your menstruation may resume later. After the ovaries resume normal ovulation, the endometrium begins to grow. After the ovulation period, if conception does not occur, the endometrium will fall off and bleed to form menstruation. The first time I had my period after giving birth, I was mainly unprepared and felt a little passive because the timing was not regular yet.
