3. Blood deficiency and wind dryness

Symptoms: The disease course is prolonged, or it is misdiagnosed or not treated properly, the skin wrinkles are deep and rough, cracked, itchy and painful, like goose feet, the tongue is dry and dry, and the pulse is thin and rapid.

Treatment method: nourish blood and moisten dryness, tonify the spleen and kill insects, dispel wind and relieve itching.

Prescription: Danggui Yinzi or Yangxue Runfu Yin with Dictamni, Kochia, Smilax, and Tribulus

4. Other treatments

(1) External treatment: When there is exudation, blisters or erosion, use Huangding water lotion or Huangjing water lotion for wet compress, and then apply goose palm wind antipruritic powder; when papules and scales are the main symptoms, use Tujinpi tincture; when goose palm wind is dry, cracked and painful, use Erfan powder for fumigation and washing.

(2) Acupuncture therapy: Use fine needles to prick Neiguan and Hegu points, and apply the drainage method.

(3) Moxibustion: rash area. Cut raw aconite into thick slices and place them on the Ashi point, then moxibustion with moxa sticks for 5-10 times, and then apply goose palm wind and tinea medicine externally.

Goose palm wind is caused by rheumatism accumulated in the skin, or blood deficiency and wind dryness. A tinea-like skin disease with blisters, desquamation, roughness, thickening, dryness, cracking, and itching and pain on the palms of the hands as its main symptoms is equivalent to tinea manuum in modern medicine.

Tinea manuum is mainly caused by infections such as Trichophyton rubrum, tinea mentagrophytes, and Trichophyton. The disease is mainly transmitted through contact. The important causes of tinea manuum infection include long-term immersion of hands in water, friction injuries, contact with detergents and solvents, etc. Therefore, the incidence of tinea manuum can be quite high in some industries.
