What are the dangers of sterilization surgery for women?

Although most people choose male condoms to achieve the purpose of contraception, there are still many women who choose sterilization surgery. So what harm does sterilization surgery do to women? Although this is a very minor operation and many women do not take it seriously, this type of vasectomy will actually affect women's menstruation and may cause endocrine disorders, so it is not recommended for women to choose this method. What effects will sterilization surgery have on women? Although sterilization is a minor operation, its impact on women cannot be ignored.

1. Generally, after sterilization surgery, there will be increased menstrual bleeding, irregular bleeding during menstruation, problems in sexual life, emotional instability, aggravation of premenstrual syndrome, etc. These are all hazards of sterilization surgery for women.

2. During the ligation operation, some blood vessels entering the ovaries may be damaged, and the hormones from the pituitary gland that stimulate the ovaries may be reduced, so the ovaries will not work normally, which will cause harm to women who have undergone ligation surgery.

3. If you don’t really want to have a vasectomy or are young and don’t think much about it, experts say that the chances of problems occurring after the vasectomy may actually be higher.

4. Some statistics indicate that the chance of needing a hysterectomy due to gynecological problems after a sterilization operation is higher than for the general population. Can I still have a baby after having a vasectomy? Vasectomy means tying the fallopian tube so that the egg and sperm cannot meet. If you want to have a child after the operation, you can have a fallopian tube recanalization operation. There are two common types of tubal ligation surgery:

1. Traditional tubal ligation: This is a surgical procedure that ligates the fallopian tubes. The incision is only two to three centimeters, and the fallopian tubes are tied and cut with surgical sutures. The advantage is that it is simple and effective, and can usually be performed with only partial anesthesia or even local anesthesia. There is no need for hospitalization after the operation and the cost is relatively low.

The timing of the surgery is usually the day after a natural birth, because the uterus has not yet retracted after delivery and the fallopian tubes are located close to the sides of the navel. Therefore, the surgery can be performed in the depression of the navel skin, so that the postoperative wound is less obvious. Of course, ligation can also be performed at normal times, but at this time the position of the fallopian tube has returned to the pelvic cavity, and the ligation wound will be more obvious. As for ligation during caesarean section, it is also common in clinical practice. This type of surgery does not cause any increase in scars.

2. Vaginal tubal ligation: The advantage of this operation is that there will be no scars on the belly. The operation is performed under semi-anaesthesia and no hospitalization is required after the operation. However, the operation is difficult and has a greater chance of bleeding, infection and complications. It is also not suitable for surgery after childbirth, so few people use it at present.

Certain conditions must be met to undergo fallopian tube recanalization surgery, including:

1. Both parties are under 40 years old and in good health.

2. The non-sterilized party has normal sexual function and fertility.

The success rate of fallopian tube ligation is high because the tube is only interrupted at the ligation point, and the physiological function of the rest of the tube is normal. However, there is one exception, and that is when sterilization is done using the adhesive plugging method. Since the adhesion method causes more damage to the fallopian tube, the success rate is not ideal.
