Cervical erosion and hypertrophy is a relatively common disease. This disease requires patients to use cervical scraping to treat it, and cervical erosion needs to be applied with medication, generally requiring antibiotics for treatment. This disease mainly occurs in women who have not given birth. It can avoid scars after surgery. Cervical erosion may also be caused by bacterial infection. Everyone should pay attention to the hygiene of the cervix. What to do if cervical erosion and hypertrophy occurs? What to do if the cervix is eroded and enlarged Currently, the commonly used methods for treating cervical erosion are: drugs, physical therapy, etc., but relatively speaking, drug treatment is only suitable for patients with milder symptoms of cervical erosion, and it is more suitable for women who have not given birth. The commonly used drug for treating cervical erosion is cervical suppository, which has a strong effect of rejection and erosion removal, thus avoiding side effects such as postoperative burns, scarring, and fertility impact. However, there is currently no effective drug to treat severe cervical erosion, and surgical treatment is required. What is cervical erosion? Most cervical erosions are physiological, and only a very small number are pathological. (1) The essence of physiological cervical erosion is the outward migration of the cervical columnar epithelium caused by high estrogen levels. After menopause, the estrogen level decreases and the cervix becomes smooth. In other words, the difference between an eroded cervix and a non-eroded cervix is the same as a person's appearance, it's just the difference between whether or not there are acne and whether the skin is smooth. (2) Pathological cervical erosion refers to the outward migration of columnar epithelium caused by diseases such as vaginitis and cervical neoplasia. In fact, not all people will suffer from cervical erosion. People who are prone to cervical erosion are mainly those who are in adolescence, have just given birth, have menstrual disorders, are pregnant, and frequently take birth control pills. In fact, cervical erosion may not heal quickly with medication alone. Personal protection is also necessary to achieve better results. What causes cervical hypertrophy? Cervical hypertrophy is a chronic cervicitis. The following factors may cause cervical hypertrophy: 1. The cervix of a normal woman can secrete mucus, which plays an important role for women. However, if mucus accumulates inside the cervix and cannot be discharged, some cysts may form, and this process will lead to cervical hypertrophy. 2. If a woman has chronic inflammation in her uterus and these inflammations are not treated for a long time, they will cause certain irritation to the cervix, which may lead to cervical hypertrophy over time. 3. Some inflammations, such as pelvic inflammatory disease and adnexitis, may have a certain impact on the female uterus. If not treated for a long time, they may cause cervical hypertrophy. 4. For some multiparous women, their uterus does not recover well after delivery, and some may also suffer from puerperal infection, which may lead to cervical hypertrophy. 5. Ovarian dysfunction. We all know that the ovaries can secrete estrogen. If there is a problem with the ovaries, it will affect the secretion of estrogen. This situation will also indirectly stimulate the uterus and cause cervical hypertrophy. |
