Is it normal to bleed after taking birth control pills?

When taking birth control pills, women must read the instructions carefully, because the instructions contain information about the correct use of birth control pills and the uncomfortable reactions that the body may experience after taking birth control pills. For example, menstrual disorders are a kind of sequelae that most women will experience after taking birth control pills. At the same time, some women find that they have bleeding in their lower body after taking birth control pills. Is this normal?

There are several situations in which bleeding occurs a few days after taking birth control pills. If you take combined short-acting contraceptives, generally after taking them for 21 days, in most cases you will have your period 2-3 days after stopping the medication, and it usually won't exceed 1 week; some women don't have bleeding after 1 week of stopping the medication because of unstable hormone levels in their bodies, but it does not affect the next cycle of treatment; if there is no bleeding after 7 days of stopping the medication, you can consider continuing to take the medication for the next cycle.

Taking emergency contraceptive pills is a supplement after unprotected sex. Under normal circumstances, there will be withdrawal bleeding about a week after taking emergency contraceptive pills. It is not menstruation, but bleeding caused by taking emergency contraceptive pills. It usually happens about 7 days after taking the medicine. Some women may have bleeding about 10 days after taking the medicine. Very few women do not bleed after taking emergency contraceptive pills.

Withdrawal bleeding basically indicates that rescue is successful and the possibility of pregnancy is small. If there is no bleeding after taking emergency contraceptive pills, how to judge whether the remediation is successful can only be done through blood HCG test. If the test result is negative, pregnancy can be ruled out, indicating that the remediation is successful.
