Cervical cancer clinical medicine installment

Cervical cancer generally has a high level of malignancy, and 70% of patients are already in the advanced stage when diagnosed. Treatments for cervical cancer include surgical removal, traditional Chinese medicine, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy.

Patients in stages II, III, and IV are not suitable for surgical treatment. It is also very easy to migrate or relapse after surgery. The formulation of cervical cancer treatment plan is related to the patient's age, general condition, extent of disease, presence of coexisting symptoms and characteristics. Therefore, before treatment, the patient must undergo a full physical examination, and a treatment plan should be formulated after comprehensive consideration of the results of organ and system function examinations and clinical installments. At present, the treatment of cervical cancer mainly includes surgery and tumor radiotherapy. In particular, squamous cell carcinoma is more sensitive to tumor radiotherapy. With the rapid development of anti-cancer chemical drugs in recent years, radiotherapy, which was previously considered ineffective for cervical cancer, has become a common method of auxiliary treatment, especially for patients in the late stage or advanced stage.

Treatment of cervical cancer

In addition to surgical treatment, cervical cancer also has other treatments such as radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

1. Radiotherapy for tumors:

Applicable to: some patients with stage I B2 and II A2, stage II B-IV A; early-stage patients whose general condition is not suitable for surgical treatment; preoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy for cervical mass disease; auxiliary treatment for patients with high-risk factors found by pathology after surgical treatment.

Tumor radiotherapy includes direct radiation inside the body and direct radiation outside the body. In the early stage, the case is dominated by partial intracavitary direct radiation, assisted by direct radiation outside the body; in the late stage, the case is dominated by direct radiation outside the body, assisted by direct radiation into the cavity.

2. Radiotherapy:

It is mainly used for patients in the advanced stage or metastatic stage and those undergoing radiotherapy or chemotherapy. Common cancer drugs include cisplatin, carboplatin, fluorouracil and docetaxel. Platinum-based synergistic chemotherapy regimens are often used, such as TP (cisplatin and docetaxel), FP (cisplatin and fluorouracil), BVP (bleomycin, vincristine and cisplatin), BP (bleomycin and cisplatin), etc. Intravenous radiotherapy is often used, and partial aortic radiotherapy can also be used.

After reading the introduction in the previous article, do you have a better understanding of these aspects? Cervical cancer clinical medicine installments are divided into several categories. The methods of treatment also vary. Female friends should go to the hospital for treatment as soon as they find out they have cervical cancer, and never delay the treatment.
