Is the pelvis on the left or right?

The pelvis is a relatively important part for women. It can be said that the pelvic cavity includes all female reproductive organs, such as the uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes. Therefore, the pelvic cavity is not divided into left and right sides. Almost the entire lower abdomen belongs to the structural tissue of the pelvic cavity. The pelvis is also one of the areas where symptoms are more likely to occur. Next, I will introduce you to the relevant knowledge about the pelvic cavity and pelvic inflammatory disease!

1. Pelvic area

The pelvic cavity refers to the female internal reproductive organs and the connective tissue surrounding them. It is an inflammation of the pelvic peritoneum. The inflammation can be limited to one part or occur in several parts at the same time. It can be divided into acute and chronic types. The female pelvic cavity includes the reproductive organs (uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries), pelvic peritoneum, and connective tissue surrounding the uterus.

2. Prevention and care of pelvic inflammation

1. Eliminate all routes of infection, keep the perineum clean and dry, wash the vulva with clean water every night, and use a dedicated basin for each person. Do not use your hands to clean the vagina, and do not use hot water, soap, etc. to wash the vulva. During pelvic inflammatory disease, the amount of leucorrhea is large and sticky, so you should change your underwear frequently and avoid wearing tight or synthetic underwear.

2. If there is vaginal bleeding during menstruation, after abortion, and after gynecological surgery such as IUD insertion and removal, you must refrain from sexual intercourse, swimming, tub baths, and saunas. You must change sanitary napkins frequently. As this will reduce the body's resistance, pathogenic bacteria can easily take advantage of the opportunity to enter and cause infection.

3. Patients diagnosed with acute or subacute pelvic inflammatory disease must follow the doctor's instructions and actively cooperate with treatment. The patient must rest in bed or take a semi-recumbent position to facilitate localization of inflammation and discharge of secretions. Patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease should not overwork, and should combine work and rest, and exercise in moderation to avoid worsening of symptoms.

4. Fever patients usually sweat a lot when the fever subsides. They should pay attention to keeping warm and keeping the body dry. Change clothes after sweating and avoid air conditioning or direct convection wind.

5. Pay attention to the amount, quality, color and taste of leucorrhea. If the amount of leucorrhea is large, the color is yellow and thick, and there is a foul odor, it means that the condition is serious. If the leucorrhea turns from yellow to white (or light yellow), the amount changes from large to small, and the taste becomes normal (slightly sour), it means that the condition has improved.

3. The impact of pelvic inflammatory disease

Impact 1: Pelvic effusion can be very harmful if not treated well. It can easily cause pelvic adhesions. In addition, pelvic effusion can also cause blockage of the fallopian tubes in women. Blockage of the fallopian tubes is one of the most common causes of infertility in female infertility patients. Patients with pelvic effusion and infertility need to actively receive treatment and prevent the disease from worsening.

Impact 2: Most pelvic effusions are caused by inflammation of the female reproductive organs. A few other causes are caused by ruptured ectopic pregnancy or corpus luteum and pelvic cysts. Most of the above diseases can cause female infertility.

Impact three: Chronic infection lesions and pelvic effusion are likely caused by inflammation of the ovaries and fallopian tubes, which can severely affect women's fertility.
